    This is the best tea.

    • +2

Definitely the best tea sold at Coles.

    • +1

Aye. It's right proper tea, innit?

    • I prefer PG Tips. Perhaps it's because the box keeps it fresher.

  • +1

I just tried this tea for the first time a couple weeks ago. I am addicted to twinings Assam Bold and thought I'd never find one comparable but this tea is actually better. It's not as strong but it's a much nicer flavour. I've made the switch!

    • +1

I myself drink Assam bold, but this one is pretty good too.

    • This is a good tea, with a decent balance of strength and flavour. I went from Irish breakfast to Assam Bold to Yorkshire but have now settled on Dilmah.

      • Irish breakfast tea, yes
        Assam bold, yes
        Yorkshire tea, yes
        Dilmah………………

  • I like Dilmah leaf tea (and in a rush the extra strength bags), find it quite good. Anyone else tried that and this and have comparison notes?

    • +6

$2.50, you can give it a try.

    • +1

      Does kamahl still own Dilmah?

        blatant racism?

        • Only an Apple-person would think that.

          @hell0:

lol so i did a google and saw that he did ads for them years ago. apologies.

        • +7

Why must people be so unkind….

      • +1

No, I think he was just paid to endorse them for a while.

      • +1

        Haha

    • Try some Yorkshire, it's good. I (like you) drink Dilmah but this is something along the same lines.

  • Great strong tea and really good price.

  • +1

Woolworths sell 'Proper strong' Yorkshire tea. It's $6 for 100. Hopefully it will be half price one day.

    • Was $3 last week. I have two bags in my cup, one of the proper strong and one of the normal yorky. It is the perfect morning combination

      • That's the life lol.

      • It wasn't $3 in my local last week. Or before that.

    • Is it even better than this one? Or could you just double bag it?

    I lived in Harrogate.

      Betty's tea shop!

      • +2

Nice place, used to go there all the time.

      • Betty's is what's famous but for mine the Old Bell Tavern is the best place in Harrogate!

    • Do you know Taylor perchance?

      • +1

Yeah, she drives a Swift. And Betty drives a Ford Clinic.

        • +1

          Typical Betty

  • Ey up! It's from Yorkshire, just like me!

    • +1
    • Yup, me too.

    • +1

sorry, i can't understand a single word you're saying. please slow down.

      PS- go rhinos!

      • The strippers from Sheffield?

    • 😂

  • Been a fan of dilmah extra strong myself but this is pretty good too

I brought 1000 bags of Yorkshire Gold back from the UK recently, felt like a smuggler : )
The Gold seems to be weaker these days though so my missus is using 1 x Gold and 1 x Proper strong to make a pot of tea for the 2 of us.
Also noticed they have 7 different varieties of Yorkshire tea when in the UK including one for hard water, breakfast and evening brews.

  • +1

I drink Tetley extra strong only because Aldi is just across the street.. meh

  • The only tea my family buys/drinks. Such a pleasant taste

  • +2

This is one of the big four traditional tea brands in Britain. The north prefers it's tea stronger, so Tetley and Yorkshire are typically stronger than PG Tips and Typhoo.
For some reason, Tetley in Australia doesn't seem as strong as Tetley bought in the UK, so I've been drinking Tetley Extra Strong which I'd never heard of until I came here. Might be due to the softer water here in Sydney than in my home region (East Midlands) though.

Just bought a pack of Yorkshire thanks to the OP. Ta, Duck!

Great tea and a total bargain at this price.

    There's also this one:
    https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/576100/yor…

A bit too strong for my liking.

I've also seen a 'gold' version before too.

All made in the UAE and not Yorkshire unfortunately.

    • Aye. The tea plantations on Ilkley moor grow fine tea!

      • +1

Tea plantations in the UAE are the bomb too

        • Very efficient - the leaves are dry before they're picked.

  • I was told many years ago that they only put s**t tea in tea bags and to only use leaf tea….so there!

  • …do they make coffee?

  • why is it yorkshire tea if the leaves weren't grown in Britain?
