yea not bad, but may as well go to ur nearest officeworks store, pay another 2 bucks and get it on the spot.
other than that, yes quite affordable.

    • But driving all the way to officeworks just for a flash drive seems a bit over the top for me. It's not like people considering buying this need it at this very moment.

    • And price match minus 5% while you are there.

        hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

you'd honestly bother buggering around with that? wasting both your time and the staff members time, to save 50c?

god, some of you people…… just wow.

        • -1

No, my comment was aimed at those customers who do and/or would rather shop at Officeworks in any case.

They can go and pick it up tomorrow if they wish.

A 17.5% saving to the normal Officeworks price is not to be sneezed at. A lot more than 50c. Grow a brain mate.

Cheaper for a SanDisk Cruzer 4GB here (not Blade):

    Okay deal, nothing spectacular IMO.

Also, you should really only consider the Cruzer Blade if you like the form factor, aren't fussed about poor write speeds, or both. I've got a 16GB Blade and although I love the look of it, write speeds max out at around 4-5MB/s. :(

    • Ouch :(

any benchmarks for this specific 4gb model?

      • yup..have the 4GB version, write speeds are 8-9MB/s on a USB 3.0 port and 4-6 MB/s on a regular 2.0 one. This is because 3.0 has better drivers than legacy 2.0 ones, but speeds are 2.0 on 3.0 port.
Read speeds are generally 23-24 MB/s but I'm not totally sure and yeah on 3.0 port they are 5-6 MB faster.

  • I bought an 8GB model recently from eBay for $15.
    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220546…

I really like the Blade coz it's the smallest flash drive and the simplest design. I think the read/write speed is decent too. I had the 4GB and now upgraded to the 8GB :)

  • Thanks for that intro, glad to know that USB keys let you take your files everywhere!

    • Lol, this is why I love OzBargain becuz of comments like this :D

    • these sites usually have pretty bad intros but this one is reasonable based on the size of this thing :)

      • Hang on who writes the blurb? I assume you do? Even for a copy and paste couldn't you delete the repeated "Note: 1 megabyte (MB) = 1 million bytes;" line?

Not against the deal, its quite good.

        • lol no i didn't write it. just copied and pasted everything if you visit the deal you would see :) it's ok you're still new to this site, some posts will have similar extracted blurbs as you will experience over time based on various reasons. i actually saw that but couldn't be bothered deleting because i didn't think anyone would care, i will delete it now.

  • i bought this from officeworks for $13 something, so $9.98 posted is quite nice i'd say. but yeh there are better deals, i posted incase anyone liked the design; saves them from going into the store.

  • same price as ebay

I think the 8GB Blade from
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220546 for GBP9.19 (about AUD15.00) free postage is better value buy. Just got one. Unless you absolutely do not need the extra capacity.
