      50 customers is alot more than other deals posted here. Any links to prove these guys aren't that cheap?

      Edit: Lol just realized what they were selling and remember the other deal posted today.

      Don't worry…you'll get familiar with us! :)

      There was a bargain posted just after yours - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/33495

      IMO, the quality only matters if you're doing a lot of unplugging and plugging…which is most instances, people aren't. This "higher quality" cable is not going to give you better video or sound over short lengths.

      • heh. snap!

        • LOL…we are kindred spirits.

    Your cheapest v1.4 cable is A$15.95, less 15% is about $13.50. For a 0.5m cable. The bargain here: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/33495 has 3m cables (v1.4) for $7.95. 1.8m cables even cheaper.

    Unless you're plugging and unplugging your cables a lot, the quality of the cable isn't going to make much difference at all for digital signals. There's no 'noise' or 'interference' like with analogue signals….

    • actually if you look at cables over 15 meters (not that these are) you start getting noise on the cables, its the same as digital TV, crackels and pops in the sound and blocky pictures, i was interested in why people where trying to charge a premium for cables…

      basically if you measure with a crow you can see the noise.

      • I do actually offer HDMI Cables from 0.5m to 20m, so yes a quality cable certainly is important in this instance.

        The longer HDMI Cables from the Space Saturn Series feature 24 AWG Conductors (the thickest possible) which ensures that the longer length can perform at an optimum level and provide enough bandwidth for High Definition content.

        Of course these also have 15% off as the coupon is valid store wide.

        10m = $59.46 (after 15% discount)
        15m = $84.96 (after 15% discount)
        20m = $110.46 (after 15% discount)

        If you are looking for something a little cheaper, the Space Atlas Series feature 26 AWG Conductors in the longer lengths and start from $42.46 (after discount) for a 10m length.

    • You should list the items that you have that are bargains (with the price) as examples.

      I stand corrected and I've revoked my negative vote. Just comparing you guys to Selby and in some cases, you guys are a bit cheaper (banana plugs for instance). If I'm ever in the position to buy some HiFi gear again, I'll be checking out your site again.

      As for the "alloy" HDMI cables, I personally wouldn't get them. Better quality is worth a small premium but not in this case.

  • Ok, attempted to do so but as there was already two negative votes I am not allowed to do so. I was also going to increase the number of vouchers to 100.

    Guys, instead of giving negative votes do you think it would be possible to talk to me about what you think would be better. I am new here and would definitely accept any feedback and take action on it.

      Sorry for my neg…I was too quick to pull the trigger after only looking at HDMI cables. I've revoked it now.

      You can edit the original deal if you like…just list some examples of bargain buys to get interest!

    • the votes are the feedback. Not everyone is going to bother searching through your whole site to find the good deals. They come to ozbargain to thave the good deals already pointed out for them.

      Having said that, since others went through and found some decent priced stuff, I've removed my neg too.

      But I stand by my opinion that "alloy" HDMI cables are not functionally any better than standard cheaper HDMI cables, and thus, not worth paying extra for.

  • I still can't edit the listing as it says I have received too many negative votes… I guess one vote is one too many… ?? :-(

    • 2 neg votes is a ban. Don't worry, I've been hit before by it as well.

      Maybe just keep it in mind for the future. Most ozbargainers will read these comments anyway.

  • I certainly hope so… Even though you retracted your vote, it still wont allow edits?

    Oh well, I was going to make things better but I can't fo anything now.

    How long is the ban for? By the way, is there any chance at all you could edit your first comment?

    • I think the ban is for 5 days.

      I can't edit my first comment either since someone has replied…but the comment itself will probably get heaps of negs anyway and people will ignore it.

      I might try and get a mod to fix it.

    I like a vendor willing to listen, communicate and work with the community, + for that!

    yeah dont stress to much, most people on here are looking for the absolute cheapest price, but as long as you specify what makes them special your usually fine as people will compare apples to apples.

    Give a poor fella a break! Why do people spend $1500+ on a good tv, $300+ on a blu-ray player or settop, only to whinge about the price of a quality $16 cable? Keep the bargains coming Space HiFi.

  • I purchased 4 dual screwlock banana plugs as I just wanted to try a small order of the plugs first to see if these were the sort that I was after.

    Service from David at Space Hi-Fi was outstanding. As an example, at checkout I missed putting the code in, David sent me an email within 1/2 an hour letting me know that I had missed it and that he would refund me the difference. Paypal notified me of the refund a couple of hours later that day. We're only talking $1 here, but service like that is appreciated.

    David has always replied to email quickly. I placed the order late on Monday and received in the mail on Thursday (I'm looking at you Godeals). The product is exactly what I was after, it is a good solid product, works as its meant to.

    I've order the remaining 16 plugs now.

  • Hello OzBargain members…

    Just wanted to post an update that the response here has been quite good. It seems like the amount of vouchers allocated were just about right and there should be just enough to last until the end of the month.

  • most of the purchases will be within a couple of days of the post, as it gets older everyones read/purchased
