Hisense 55N7 4k UHD TV $1116 from The Good Guys @ eBay (C&C) (Delivery Extra)

PULL20

Original 20% off at The Good Guys eBay Deal Post

Cheapest price on Hisense 55N7. Last year's M7000 were rated very highly and N7 is the same but improved from what I read. Either ways, cheapest on OzBargain so far.

The prices are for Click & Collect. Delivery is extra and is around $50 extra.

Dodgy practices? I can see stock in stores @ Brisbane so definitely not across the board

        • @rdhupar: haha yeah, maybe they allocate special stock for ebay sales

        • @Mikinoz: price matched at harvey norman. didnt need to do much talking. saved me $50

        • @zhangws55: good work

    This or the TCL?

Hisense better but at higher cost. From what I read, this Hisense has local dimming and better contrast ratios than the TCL

  • Or Kogan 55" 4K Curved one for $699+delivery?

    • I definitely wouldnt go Curved. Heard too many issues about drastic fall in PQ when off centre. Great for a bedroom TV where you would always only watch from a bed.

Kogan bad, if you have a problem good luck

    • I'm very happy with my curve Kogan 55"

  • Why do Chinese brands offer 3 years warranty, while other brands only 1?

    • Because they have no faith in their technology

To clarify i meant sony, samsung etc have no faith in their tech. ive been burned too many times by sony.

i love how these brands offer 3 years warranty

    • +4

Because they need the advantage to entice people to trust them over established brands that people trust to last many years. Offering a warranty for 3 years gives consumers security for trying a lesser known brand.

    • Consumer warranty on an expensive TV will be well beyond a year anyway, just know your rights and all will be good.

    • You can rest assure the 3 years warranty won't last long. They are giving it to establish a market base. LG used to offer 3 years warranty too when they were not a strong brand name like now.

  • Hows the picture quality compare with Samsung?

    • Reviews have it better than midrange sony/samsung

  • Good price but there are a few issues with this model such as it not remembering settings and some aspect ratio issues: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2608487&p…

Even though there are almost none available to pickup via eBay I would be willing to bet that you could buy one in almost any store at normal price. Dodgy in my books.

I've had the 65n7 for a couple months, no issues with it at all so far, remembers all settings and PQ is great.

I have the 55N7 and although the settings show that they are being remembered after a power cycle some settings are not actually remembered. For instance if I turn the "smooth" setting to "OFF" an do a power cycle it still show as being off in settings but very clearly the smooth motion has been re-enabled. If you then switch it back to smooth and then back to off it turns it off again but doesn't remember it. It is a well know firmware problem & I would be surprised if yours does not do the same but I could be wrong.

      • Hmmm will give it a go later tonight. I haven't messed around with any of the settings since calibrating it following the guide on avforums.

I mainly watch 1080p mkv files off my HD and have noticed the opera effect sometimes even though the smooth motion is turned off. Next time it happens I'll toggle it on and off again see if it makes a difference.

Is it personally delivered by commander shepherd?

    • The "Effect" of the "Mass" is too much for the average courier!

      :-)

  • Have the M7000 and love it.
