Mobileciti (3.5%) & The Good Guys (3.0%) Launch @ Cashrewards

Personal favourite as I know how much time and effort I've put in to getting Mobileciti over the line. And of course, the addition of TGGs is a great result as well. Thanks for the continued support, and enjoy :)

  • Thanks TA, what a pity that I just spent on TGG ytd…

    • If that was using Ebay, you've done better anyway.

  • Well done TA, those are an awesome addition! :)

  • Curses, just bought something from TGG yesterday! Ah well, at least I got to use a $20 coupon on it.

          Peter, Peter, pickle-eater,

          Had a wife and couldn't keep her;

He put her in a pickle jar,

And there he kept her very far.

  • How long does it take for the cash reward fund to e avlibalr o withdraw? My balance has been sitting there for over a month as still can't withdraw to my bank.

    • Minimum $10 withdrawal.

      • Currently at $9.84.. the feels

        • How long has that taken to accrue? I can't imagine (personally) $10 per quarter annum is worth the money lost to privacy through the non-use of things like ublock origin.

    How does cashreward actually work?

I bought NBA League Pass via cashrewards and the "retailer" never confirmed the purchases and cashrewards never credited me the cash. Does the retailer (NBA league pass in this case) have to manually approve every purchase?

If the item is tracked and still showing as pending and is past the approval date then contact Cashrewards, they've always sorted out any issue I've had.

      • It's funny cause the purchases don't even show up anymore. Will pay more attention on the next purchase.

  • Thank you TA. What excellent news.
Thanks for the time and effort involved in getting these 2 retailers over the line.

cashrewards is the best retail reward system I have ever used
Even better than most loyalty programs

I find price pal better as it has less user hostile policies like minimum withdrawal amount (now $10 instead of $5) and the need to manually transfer accumulated cash back.

Price pal does it automatically whenever the cashback is paid and regardless of the amount.

Founders also often have a higher cashback % for some sites compared to cashback rewards.

I use both though depending on the store.

Also as a FYI, after reading people's negative experiences on whirlpool in regards to warranty support, I'd be very weary of purchasing anything from Mobileciti. While they sell Australian stock with a 2 year warranty (with the associated premium price vs grey stock), they systematically refuse to honor warranties in house and force you to deal with the manufacturer yourself.

In comparison if you took a phone to JB Hi fi for example, they'd take care of it for you and liaise with their 3rd party repairer and manufacturer as required.

      YMMV.

If you bought an iPhone you just go to apple directly. Much quicker that way. I bought iPhone from goodguys before and brought it to apple to fix it. Why would you take it back to the shop?

        • Doesn't work that way for android. LG for example doesn't have a physical store in Australia so it's lots of back and forth emails and postage. It's usually much preferable to take it back to the point of sale for them to deal with. Mobileciti however shirk their responsibility and just make it that much more difficult.

When the phone couldn't be fixed they also only offered store credit instead of a refund…
Have a read of people's experiences on the Nexus 6P thread.

        • @plasmapuff: not sure who down voted you - because the experience you described was exactly the one I had with them with my Motorola G4 Plus.

  • Great work TA. This is good for those that don't want to wait for 10%-20% off eBay deals.

  • Nice work TA!

  • How does Cashrewards make money ?
and what benefit the retailers have to be on Cashrewards?
(as I will still buy things for the retailers even if they are not on Cashrewards)

    • +1

Cashrewards make money by advertising stores, they receive a commission and part of that is past on to us (the consumers), the rest is their income. The benefit is to be advertised heavily through targeted emailing and deals on Ozbargain for example, can heavily improve traffic.

  • @tightarse, I purchased a Samsung TV before 10 days in TGG store using the TGG vouchers I purchased online. Can I claim the cashback?
