Is Aussie Broadband Still Doing The Free Month Offer?

My MyRepublic connection is being throttled "traffic Prioritized as they call it" to 200KB/s or less from around 6PM to 11PM every night for the last 4 days now for anything that isnt "prioritized".

it would of taken me 15 minutes to download 1 60MB video converted to MP3 from youtube, i tethered my mobile and it downloaded in 20 seconds.

Ive chatted with then about torrent speeds dropping to 200KB/s which started days ago but tonight everything is slow but prioritised.

MR has turned to crap for me so it's time to leave.

Yep, though it's due to end 16th Nov. IIRC it's a free month and double data for 6 months. If you have FTTP they should be able to set it up at the same time as the existing connection (port 2), you can mention it on the phone. That way you have some continuity and chance to test/compare.

As SBOB says, get a referral code from someone so they can get a free month out of it (though I should have had another one that hasn't turned up).

  As you can seek the speed is all over the place but speedtest.net is absolutely bullshit there is no way im getting even close to 95Mbps download speed in anything.

    Rough guess, they haven't paid for enough bandwidth from the PoI to everywhere else - hence why speedtest to somewhere nearby is at a reasonable speed and everything else isn't.
    
    AussieBB will probably turn on a connection very fast (since it's already there) - people talk of minutes. Make sure you use the wpfreetrial code and include a referral ID some someone benefits for a free month.

I signed up last week. Hfc new connection, got setup appointment date 2 weeks later.
Don't know what set up code for my connection, hopefully not the 20 minutes type cause i don't have external box nor internal wall socket anymore

Setting up the modem router was easy, just DHCP, unlike say from Buzz Telco which required a username and password called PPPOE.

I have just been with Aussie Broadband a month back, and have my referral code should anyone need it - just send me a message.
