Where can I get Tax Invoice for Surface Book purchased through the phone from Microsoft Store Sydney?

Hi everyone,

I need advice. On Oct 3, I bought Surface Book + 3 items. I have received the items and my credit card has been debited.

I purchased through the phone from Microsoft Store in Sydney. My issue is where do I get the tax invoice? I signin to my Microsoft account and all I get is the Order Confirmation. I have called Sydney Store to ask and have 3 different answers i.e. Your tax invoice will be email to you once they have debited your account (P.S, debited my credit card but no Tax invoice to be seen), 2nd answer 'You will see you tax invoice after 3days when you signin to your Microsoft Account (now 3rd day no sign of Tax invoice, 3rd call (Your tax invoice will appear after 5working days in your Microsoft Account) and last call to their Global Support team this morning, the reply was, we don't provide tax invoice. Your order confirmation is your tax invoice.

Can anyone who have purchased from Microsoft Store tell me what is the procedure of getting a Tax invoice? I am going nuts just to get a Tax invoice!

      I got the package. No invoice except delivery note.

    From microsoft of course, noone else can provide a tax invoice for your purchase.

    tell them you need an invoice for tax purposes, then refer them to fair trading : http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/ftw/Businesses/Selling_goo…

    Then threaten them with a report to fair trading if they dont supply one.

      Staff asked me to wait for 5 working days for the Tax invoice to appear. Should I wait before I make another complain?

        wait otherwise they will make complain about you harassing them.

      Thanks for this info. I have spoken to the Store Manager I/o customer service and he mentioned he knew what is happening and he will escalate my issue to relevant department and i have to wait for 24-48hrs. I told him if he does not provide the tax invoice, I will complain to fair trading. Let's wait for 48hrs. Phew!

        They have up to 7 days to provide it once requested, so best to wait.

      But the staff asked me to wait for 5 working days for Tax invoice to appeared in my Mircosoft Account. What shall I do?

    Well I've certainly learned a lot here. But, just to be sure, I can only get my tax invoice from whoever sold me the goods, right?

    Normal procedure is the invoice is emailed to you.
    Legally they must provide this to you for every transaction

      You are right but Microsoft has different procedure. Even buying from China company, we get Tax invoice immediately after purchased! Anyway, I am glad everything is solved now. Thanks for your input. Have a great weekend.

    Hi, I have the same question with you, I bought the surface laptop in Microsoft online store on 31 Dec 2017, I received the package but no tax invoice inside, I want to return the tax fee on airport the end of this month, Can you tell me how to get the invoice for Microsoft?     Last I used the store they emailed the tax invoice soon after purchase. Only a delivery note comes in the box.
