  • Literally sold my PS Vita on eBay 3 days ago…

    • Hopefully not to purchase xbox gear!

      • +1

Why not? Xbox is far superior

        • -2

Gd one haha that's why it's being massively outsold!

        • +1

          @bloobat:

          …by the vita?

        • +1

          @dillyz: At least in Japan?

        • +1

@bloobat: more people buy Hyundai but personally, I'll take the lesser sold Ferrari

        • If he sold his PS Vita to buy xbox gear, this would have been a pretty good deal!

          And no, it's not. lol

        • @Shwayne: You contradict yourself. Look into that.

        • @imurgod: I don't, whether or not it's a deal has nothing to do with whether or not it's rubbish.

If manure is half price, it can be considered a deal, even if you're literally buying shit!

        • @Shwayne: still don't know what you're getting at. It's not a deal or not superior?

  • if You didn’t get the email, you are not eligible?

    • Can confirm its targeted. You do need to have received the email going by the terms and conditions.

      • Copy pasta from the T&Cs:

Vouchers will be issued to eligible customers by email from 9 November 2017. The voucher redemption code
will also be available in the voucher section of your My eBay account.

so i can list a fake PSP for $100, sell it to myself for $10 in fees and get $50 voucher +90 back?

actually isnt as worth it since $50 voucher isnt worth that much unless you were going to buy something anyway

    • +3

Good way to get your eBay account suspended too.

  • downvotes for pointing out a loophole

    • +3

Not a loophole if it's covered in the T&Cs

eBay reserves the right to disallow or reverse the issue of a voucher in circumstances where it believes a sale or purchase of any item as part of this offer has not been made in good faith. This includes any collusive conduct by buyers or sellers or any other conduct which eBay considers unfair or untoward.

    • SMH… I had the same thought. This coming from the site that tried to run Aussie Farmers food delivery into the ground when someone uncovered an unreleased additional working "free 50$ dinner for everyone" code and tried to ream them, sulked when it didn't work. :/

(profanity) ebay - they I can 'rip off' by outplaying the rules of their choosing and not lose any sleep over.

  • Got the email but don't need it!

  • Probably not a bad idea if you want to sell off an old xbox one to trade in for the new one. EB are offering $150 trade credit for the older model - you would probably get more here.

    • You sure it's 150 for the older model? I'm confident it's the S they're offering 150 for.

      • I will have another look after work but I was quite sure it had the original model with 1 game.

        Edit: http://catalogue.ebgames.com.au/?utm_source=edm&utm_medi…

Had found the catalog, doesnt mention the one S (though cant read all the tiny writing on my phone) and I think the picture is the original xbox.

        • Wait, are they offering 150 for the 500gb original XB1? I'd do it in a heartbeat, and upgrade to the One X or One S.

        • @adonbilivit: I just traded my launch Xbox for $173 ($150 + 15% EB member). Great deal after almost 4 years of use. I put it towards an Xbox One X preorder!

        • Thanks! I got $173 for my launch Xbox on the weekend :)

        • @daddymoe: Are you without a console for a few months then? I don't have a 4K TV and don't plan on buying one. Might just get the Xbox One S if they give $173. That's for Level 2 EB right?

        • @daddymoe: is the added percentage a one off bonus or can you take advantage of it as many times as you like?

        • @adonbilivit: I have a gaming PC so I'm good for a month. The Xbox One S should fetch you 200 due to the promotion. If you are a silver member you will get an extra 15% on top of your console :)

Don't forget the game with 5 bucks! I gave in Dead Rising haha

        • @brandogs: You get the added value as long as you are a EB member! Different levels give different % of value added.

        • @daddymoe: Just called my local EB and they said its $150 for the original xbox one plus 1 game

        • @brandogs: are you an EB World member?

  • -1

I have an email telling me i gain:
    $10 for $100
    $20 for $200
    $30 for $300
    $40 for $400

    $50 for $500

What the hell ebay. I literally have spent about $1500 on ebay in the last month alone.

  • +2

Extras bonus for some of the targeted SNES mini resellers. No idea why people are still paying more than retail, they aren't that hard to find.

  • Not once I have received any of these ebay targeted email. I spend too much?

  • I have an Xbox One for auction that I listed 4 days ago. The auction ends in 3 days and it will sell well over $100.

Any idea if I will be eligible?
As per T&C it says it has to be listed and sold during promo period (5th to 31st Oct). I listed it before the promo period, but technically it was already “listed” on eBay during the promo period…

    • This is targeted. So before anything did you receive an email from eBay?

      As per T&Cs

Only items that list and sell during the Promotion Period will be eligible to count towards the minimum sale requirement.

Key words 'list' and 'during the promotional period'. You listed before it started so you would not be eligible.

      • Yes I received the email.

Hrmmm I guess we’ll see what’s happens on 9th November.
        wishful thinking

  • An update - I didn't get the email from eBay regarding this promo. Just sold $100 worth of games during the promotion period and I got the voucher today.

    • +1

Wow a nice little surprise for you! Got mine today too. Now what to buy with the voucher.. Everything apart from consoles are over priced and not really worth it.

      • Agree, more like a $20 saving on a controller or xbox live 12 months.

Hopefully they might have a black friday sale?!

  • Forgot about this promo and ended up getting a $50 voucher yesterday. I don't even have an xbox so what do i spend it on then??? :/

  • +2

For those that haven't used their vouchers, Microsoft eBay currently has 40% off Xbox Live 3 month cards. Buy 3x 3 month cards (9 months Xbox Live) for $53.85, only pay $3.85 using your voucher.
