$79 with PARTY6PM.
Where did you find the code at? I didn't see it come through in the email or their splash page for the megadeals
In the listing header
6pc Avanti Tempo Knife Block Set/German Stainless Steel/Chef/Kitchen Knives
$79 with code PARTY6PM. Limited Stock. T&Cs apply
Thanks Title Fixed
Is this any good?
Depends on what you're using it for…. cuts banana's just fine :) but if you're a butcher on the other hand or the next Dexter then I can't comment….
My go to knife of choice is the Chinese meat cleaver. Cuts through anything like butter. Including my fingers.
Seriously though, I only use that one knife in the kitchen.
Same in my house hold, only a Chinese meat cleaver. All purpose knife…
Hahaha! That is so funny, same in our household too. We use the smaller meat cleaver for everything😂
Heading states "German steel" and in description "Japanese". Marketing gods.
No mention of actual steel type or specifications. Odd that.
Avanti is heavily pushed, must be a good margin in it, like with most OEM "branded" gear.yeah would be nice to know the Rockwell hardness and if it's VG10 or some other alloy.
Seems many knife maker buy the alloys from a few smelters, so variation is more shape and finish. Hence be nice to know the alloy and hardness.
Shun are VG10, which is the same steel as used by many others, but Shun do such a nice finish.
from Wikipedia
VG-10 is a cutlery grade stainless steel produced in Japan. The name stands for V Gold 10 ("gold" meaning quality), or sometimes V-Kin-10 (V金10号) (kin means "gold" in Japanese). It is a stainless steel with a high carbon content containing 1% Carbon, 15% Chromium, 1% Molybdenum, 0.2% Vanadium, 1.5% Cobalt, and 0.5% Manganese.[1]The VG-10 stainless steel was originally designed by Takefu Special Steel Co. Ltd.,[2] based in Takefu, Fukui Prefecture, Japan (the former cutlery/sword-making center of Echizen). Takefu also made another version: VG10W, which contains 0.4% tungsten.[citation needed] Almost all VG-10 steel knife blades were manufactured in Japan. More recently, Kizer Cutlery, in China, has been making their prolific 'lower cost' knives ($50 - $125) with VG-10 blade steel.
an SAE grade would do just fine too.
hoping for $1000 dji mavic
fly more combo ofc
might be a spark this time around.
Same as the Umbrella from the last mega deals, the price was cheaper during the 20% off sale a week later lol.
- Japanese stainless steel
- Full German stainless steel
Which is it?
Axis stainless steel
I guess they didn't want to go full-Axis as the Italian steel would've caused it to rust like an Alfa-Romeo
This store is part of the existing PICK20UP deal, so can get it for $79.20 anyway.
Does ebay think we are stupid???
Yes, and you upvoted the deal, so you are stupid
True!
@Savas: mindless upvoting is stupid
But think of what you can do with the 20cents saving!
Oh no
So, in other words, this is a 20c discount? BARGAIN!
I love the save $351 lol
Does the code work for anything else?
considering the rrp, this seems to be a better deal:
https://www.harveynorman.com.au/avanti-wave-6-piece-knife-bl…PS.
Avanti… a small company….pass
http://avantihomewares.com/pages/about.htmlthis is a normal price as you can use code pick20up anytime during the promotion. Rip off deal if they specified as a MEGA DEAL
Good call , i missed that
I am not sure why "full German stainless steel construction offers the ultimate in hygiene". Do other countries hide bacteria in their stainless steel cutlery ;-) The Japanese / German thing is hilarious. Needs to be Italian too.
Japanese or German must be crap can't even make up there mind
German design, Japanese tradition, Chinese manufacturing, Australian political correctness ….. what a knife.
Rofl
Instead of Mega Deals, they should call it Mediocre Deals
Mega Fail?
Oh well, at the very least it served as click bait to get you on eBay :D
one person bought with the 20% off code. and 16 people purchased because it says MEGA DEAL
How do you find out how many units they sold for what price?
O! That all? Thanks. Saw that 'sold' digit next to items all the time and never thought that's how to go about this. lol
$450 yeh sure everywhere around a $100 http://www.victoriasbasement.com.au/Product/Details/87116/av…
Can we report Ebay?
Lol for what?
For inciting keyboard warrior unwarranted outrage?
Technically it's a sale as you save 20 cents using this code :P
reminds me, I still haven't opened the Global Knives I bought in the last promotion.
I regret buying Global knives, should spend bit more on better brands, like Shun or Miyabi :(
Shun, Miyabi, Global, all are similar price, similar metal, depends on which design you like.
What's wrong wrong with them? Too soft?
This store is part of the existing PICK20UP deal, so can get it for $79.20 anyway.
Thanks to hamza23 for pointing this out.
Neg due to fake inflated RRP and the fact this mega deal saves 20cents over the 20% off sale.
Still cheaper.
Negged ebay for being a (profanity) tease
This might be the next one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Philips-AJ6200DB-FM-Alarm-Clock-R…
lol meh
Seriously.. what is this crap
woohoo, how did you find it? Pray tell.
maybe he is the one who post it.
Yeah - interested in how you found it? Can you search the coupon early or something?
Just search with description PARTY7PM.
Sweet! Your more mega than these ebay deals!
Possibly the worst 1hr deal in Ozbargain history
its $79 bud
