Galax Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 OC 3GB $263.20 (Shopping Express eBay)

420
PICK20UP

I personally prefer the RX 570 4GB and RX 580 8GB over the 1060 3GB and 1060 6GB but as for a bargain this is pretty good seeing how overpriced GPU's are at the moment. I paid $269 over a year ago for my ASUS RX470 RGB Strix 4GB

After discount the RX 580 comes to $351.20
So your paying $88 extra for around 20% more performance ..
I would say that's not worth it as both cards play everything fine at 1920x1080 max settings.

If you have the money get the 580 as it should last a little longer with the extra 1GB of video memory but if you plan to upgrade again in a few years grab the 1060 and use that $88 to put towards that next videocard purchase.

      • If you don't plan to upgrade in the next 3 years, spend $17 more to get the 1060 6gb. Or if you want to stick with AMD, $56 more to get the RX 580 8GB.

      • How is the performance like if you pair 2x RX580?
        Good for 4K gaming?

          Get a 1080

        • +4

better to grab a single card like GTX 1070-1080 or AMD Vega 56.

        • +3

Crossfire is hit or miss. The nvidia 1080 will use less power and perform better anyway.

        • Ok thanks.

Yeh I'm thinking he swapped the two and the four around lol

        • lucky it's the first 2 digits lol…

    • +3

There is almost no way this can be true unless it fell of the back of a CPL truck somewhere.

I believe him. He has been very honest in all his previous comments on OzBargain, have a look for yourself.

        • +1

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying he's dishonest. It's just that it is not possible to get a GTX 1060 6GB for $249 unless you're dealing with something really really dodgy. Or he has swapped the 2 & 4 as the other posters said.

        • @gryhawk: Did you check his previous comments?

        • @F-22: yes I swapped the digits around, my mistake, bought a lot of stuff in the last few days. Now what are you talking about about previous comments?

  • Your right, I did swap the digits around, now what’s this about previous comments?

  • deals dont make the front page unless its over 20 +1's these days? :) i haven't posted a deal in a little while

When can we see 1060 6GB selling below $300? Not to mention the 9Gb one…

    • Mine was $329 last week during the 17% off deal. Pretty happy about that

    • got the 6gig galax for $320 from PLE 3 months ago…. that was with a free game too.

wish i waited and got a 1080 to be honest.

  • got this last time for dad and im pretty impressed

    • I thought your dad got impressed :d

Can mine ETH profitably for 4-5 months and earn about US$30 with it.

  • My mate suggests this brand of graphic card isn't that good, can anyone comment?

    • +3

There's nothing inherently wrong with Galax cards.

      • I heard Galax will always be the cheapest brand because they don't have a presence in Australia. So warranty could be a pain.

        • I've had no problem with their cards. Haven't had to deal with their support though.
Zero support would still be an improvement on Gigabyte's support ;)

  • From YouTube videos this card is very popular in Indian market, another name for this Card is KFA2…

I use EVGA GTX 1060 3GB and that's more than enough for 720p to 1080p gaming. That will last me another 3 years at least.
I guess everyone has different needs. lol

    • Yeah I am still using my GTX 460 lol …

      Very very casual gamer …

Just an update that this Galax card is in the Shopping Express Trifecta today for $269:

Good alternative if you need an additional $30 worth of almost-junk.

  • Price up to $339 before discount.
