TomTom Bandit Action Camera $147
See above
That link has
"Wide angle:
4k 15FPS, 30FPS"
Is it a different model?
lol it doesn't appear to be
also in their specs it says
TIME-LAPSE AND NIGHT-LAPSE SPECS
4K 30FPS (3840x2160 resolution)
obviously there's a discrepancy there between the specs and reviews.
also, the specs says the builtin mic is mono yet in some reviews it says stereo.
Had this and at that price it is well worth it. Just took it back as the sound was terrible unless you use this goatee attachment. But that was when it was $300+
no stock in eight shops i searched for.
Can't see any in stock in inner Sydney
Is it waterproof
Only with additional lens attachment - sold separately.
I'd grab if I could pick-up in-store, but the audio issues and first-gen nature of this is holding me back.
Shipping $15 for me.

A shame if true for its wearables too as I have the Spark+cardio+music fitness watch and it's great.
I clicked on the link and this is the message i got on the live chat

"Would you recommend the Bandit or the GoPro?
Well, there’s a bunch of GoPro models. So if you compare it to the base GoPro Hero 2014 edition for $129US, then I’d recommend the TomTom. However, if you compare it to the GoPro Hero4 Silver/Black, then in general I’m going to recommend the Hero4 Silver/Black – unless you like the speed/sensor aspects within the unit enough to sway you. If you don’t plan to use any of that, then at this stage it’s hard to justify the TomTom over the Hero4 line. If however, TomTom puts some solid work into their automagic app, then my decision might be swayed for certain audiences (those that care less about image quality). For those doing any sort of video editing at a higher quality level, especially with slow-mo type footage, then the GoPro quality is hard to beat."
At $150 it seems better that the GoPro Basic which was a similar price recently, although not as cheap as the JB hifi Garmin Virb deal which was a steal. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/garmin-virb-x
$15 is a rip off for shipping. Even at a most basic level of Postage. IE walking into the post office holding the item. $7.45 to post + $2.50 for box + $1.00 for bubble wrap = $10.95 and this is a national company and its $15 get real Gerry your the professional
I ended up grabbing one just before midnight - at this price happy to give it a whirl even if TomTom ends up pulling out of the action-cam market. The new GoPro Hero6 looks enticing but it's $740 plus!
Back up to $244.
Mine arrived today - will open on the weekend. Anyone else grab one and had time to have a play already?
Please let us know how it is :)
Hi mate – great action cam. I like TomTom stuff, and run with a Spark, so the menu and nav system is already very familiar to me.
I’m yet to give it a test under true action conditions, but some test shooting came up well. The internal mic does struggle when there's heavy wind against it, as some reviews have indicated.
I have some additional mounts on the way – pole, backpack mount, tripod mount, and a cable to be able to use an external mic.
It’s always a shame when a good product struggles to get traction because they’re too late to a very crowded market. This is likely to be what happened here.
Just note that 4k is @ 15fps only.
