anyone know the best deal around on a GENUINE xbox 360 Hard drive. just the original console drive. the external one that clips on the top. im looking for a 120-250gb unit. if anyone can point me in the right direction then i'd really appreciate it.
i read it has to be genuine microsoft otherwise you will be banned from xbox live. is this true?

I got my 60GB used Genuine xBox HDD from eBay for 30 bucks. Seller was a old gamer, selling his HDD seperate. He claimed, it was not banned.
I asked Microsoft call centre. They did not answer clearily. All i came to know was they wanted me to buy a brand new HDD.
I formatted it and started using it. I have been using for more than 6 months and it is doing great.

There was a site in the UK listed here last year (or possibly early this year) that was selling 250Gb HDDs for a VERY good price, (around $80, ie 40pounds, from memory)
