5 years ago I set out on a journey to understand what makes any Good idea, Great & what makes the Best of them, Legendary.

Every lesson and notes in these pages has personally helped me in my solo-entrepreneurial journey. I’ve applied dozens of these philosophies & hacks into growing my own business.

The lessons here have aided in my journey towards building a 6-figure publishing company without any notable mentors by my side and helped me faced my toughest adversity (Acid Test).

They will help you when you need them most.

Now, most of us are psychologically intrigued by stories of unbelievable success, but we fail to discover and pay attention on what sets these strangers apart. We fail to recognize the journey it takes to arrive at the peak. There are literally a thousand and one ways to achieve success, but only a dozen or so reasons for complete and utter failure.

So what makes Jack Ma so different from the rest of the world’s 1%?

Wait no more: Let’s read and find out now!

“There are three types of people in this world: those who make things happen, those who watch things happen, and those who wonder what happened.”

I guess I'm in the last category.

      I wonder why?

Is it 40 thieves of ideas?
    Or 40 theft of ideas?
In history we have seen bad people makes money & then turns good or atleast politician.

    • +11

exactly. where would he be without a corrupt commie government that stifled foreign competition while allowing IP theft to unchecked.

      • +2

40 years of stealing ideas from other people

Actually the corruption is more than IP theft. More importantly it's the corrupted regime that offer an unfair competition stage in China. This guy definitely had some very powerful connection to support him otherwise he would have been ended up miserably. For example in China over many years it's strictly prohibited for private organisations to tap into finance sector. Too many examples that private companies attracting money funding without going through the banks, ended up the bosses were thrown into jail or executed. How come this guy could prosper his Zhifubao, copy of Paypal? And in a enormous scale. I don't mean he did thing thing wrong by creating this finance tool, but want to point out he succeeded in this just because he benefit from unfair competition stage. So for ordinary Chinese there is nothing to envy or jealous about this guy. Well, maybe sometime soon when political landscape changes in China, we may see this guy in jail. Who knows.

whats with the bigotry? how much research have you done into jack ma to arrive to that conclusion? when Alibaba started they were one of the first to put out a B2B platform in the world. he started China yellowpages in the early 90s and failed. All you see its the glory that is Alibaba of today obviously didn't follow them during the earlier stages of development which had 0 government support or bank funding. His a english teacher with no connections. Most of their funding comes from HK and US investors.

When any business in CHINA hits critical mass you'll need to deal with the Chinese government and need their support is a must. i work in the startup industry and the amount of copying and cloning in silicon valley pushes many startups to go stealth. There is no IP in the platform concept of Paypal or Ebay just like there is no IP for the 1000s of cloned apps in google store.

i see no IP theft here with their platforms, his a legitimate entrepreneur that puts social responsibility high in his agenda. what i see is bunch of people with ignorance and bigotry that suffers from tall poppy syndrome posting about IP theft. (ask your self this; if you were given the same resources as jack ma would you be able to build up Alibaba from scratch?)

    Think Maverick.

  • Jack Ma has clearly hired a PR team to boost his reputation. Anyone know why?

    • +1

Maybe he became jealous of Elon's legion of acolytes.

More likely, he wants to expand into other countries, and thinks that being well-liked will reduce the local resistance.
