Sorry, I have received a note from iReward and you should only take this offer if

  1. You are interested into trading
  2. You know how to trade
  3. You are able to verify that this particular company provides a legitimate system for traders
  4. You are able to trade responsibly

I regret for what I have posted here and apologise for what I have done. I hope everyone who has gone through the process would still receive everything as promised by the offer. Again, my apologise for this post and please don't make the same mistake as I did. Sorry everyone, sorry iReward.

  • So you got your $103 back too ?

    • Yes, and there is actually a $5 fees applied, let me update the details.

  • +2

    a sly invitation to gamble on currency exchange…look out!

    • Agree. Do not do this unless you really really know what you are knowing.

    • Yes, please consult a proper financial advisor if you like to trade. This is more about getting some credit from the offer.

      • The chat room on etoro is a bit of a worry. "Please tell me when to buy/sell". Oh dear!

  • iReward and Moneybackco (MBC) are the same? I mean if you have an account with MBC you get an account with iReward automatically?

  • You will need to migrate for the moment, hopefully they can make things easier for the members in the future.

    However, iReward sends marketing emails and surveys…etc while MBC only give you MBC related updates. So, some slight difference there. But the money back offers are looking exactly the same.

  • I tried this, but upon trying to log in to eToro it says "Connection failed"
    Firewall issue? Does it use a weird port number? Or is eToro trading just down?

    • eToro is working ok for me.

  • hey…
    your statement is -

    " So, DON’T USE a Credit Card. I just checked with my bank today, that $103 transaction through PayPal on my Credit Card was a “retail purchase”, not cash advance, so, no trouble and the amount adds the Credit Card pointsquite confusing "

    Should we use credit card or not???

  • Ok, so I completed the following:

    1. signed up with ireward;
    2. followed the link, signed up with etoro;
    3. deposited $105aud using paypal, got $25 USD bonus; my account total was $125.54USD
    4. messed around with a few transactions, lost $1.18;
    5. tried to withdraw my deposit - got a message that only $99USD can be withdrawn;
    6. applied to withdraw $99usd, got charged $5usd fee from that, the remaining $94 are pending
    7. went back to ireward, the ireward mail shows status "rewarded" for the offer;
    8. checked ireward balance - points haven't been credited.

    So at this stage, I'm keeping my fingers crossed, since:
    a. I incurred a cost of $6.18USD;
    b. I'm still waiting to recover my deposit from etoro (transaction appears as pending)
    c. I'm still waiting for the points to be credited in ireward account.

    So my questions are:

    • how long did it take for the deposit to be withdrawn/credited back to your paypal account by etoro?
    • how long did it take (or does normally take) for ireward to credit the points?
  • How long does this take? 20 mins? Not too bad.

  • Seems like ireward will not be making anything if we don't lose earnings. http://www.etoro-affiliate.com/commission-structure.html

    • Well, I did my bit - $1.18USD!!! :)

  • If you do enough trades for them to release some of your $25 bonus you can use it to cover the $5 withdrawal fee (you need to trade the equivalent of $10,000 for each bonus dollar you want to withdraw - leveraging a $25 trade at x400 gives you a $10,000 trade but you can lose money real fast this way). I did a few trades, lost a dollar, gained a dollar, gained 2 dollars and managed to withdraw $99 after withdrawal fee.

    I now have ~$20 in the account and if I trade it another 20 times or so at the same leverage I can take out whatever is left on top of the $5 fee. But since you're always fighting uphill (having to pay the spread on each trade)chances are there won't be anything left. Risky business…
    (All in USD)

    iReward mail now has the offer marked as 'rewarded' meaning I'm waiting on my 100,000 iPts (~$100). I'm also waiting on the withdrawal to come through to Paypal, presumably that's waiting on a real person to verify the ID I had to provide for the withdrawal. A bit complicated but, assuming it comes good, it gets a + from me.

  • Update - I got a call today from "angus" from etoro - had a bit of a chat about the system and he offered to send some material if I needed help with the system/trading (I'd expect that material to be more about the system and overall info, as you would still need properly qualified advice if any financial advice is required).

    With regards to the process of depositing/withdrawing funds, I understand it takes etoro around 3 days - sometimes longer - to verify the papers submitted for personal verification.

    I guess for the time being I'll continue having a play with some transactions - incidentally, the system is not that bad, but then again I'm not a full time trader, so wouldn't be able to comment from that perspective. I'm not advocating anyone goes into this if they don't know/understand trading, but you do get a practice account, so why don't people use that to get a feel for it, before going and spending their real money?

    • I missed a welcome call from eToro today, so they sent me a follow up email.

      eToro is a fair bit of fun to use. Dangerous but fun!

  • I joined iReward and followed the link to eToro on Wednesday morning. I deposited $100 US via Paypal, traded a bit and put in a withdrawal request for $99 US, which went to $94 after the $5 fee. Since they say it takes 5 days for withdrawals obviously I'm still waiting for that to appear back in my Paypal account.

    Unfortunately, after more than 48 hours it is not showing as Tracking on iReward and they were not able to help. They just pointed me to some suggestions on their forums such as clearing cookies, disabling popup blockers etc for future cashback/affiliate offers. (i.e. basically nothing they can do).

    I hope it works out for everyone else.

    • I guess I'm in the same boat for both this and the St George Savings account promotions. Nothing showing up for either of them. :S

  • +1

    This is a "mail only offer" and there will not be a tracking in the record. Last time with their BigPond email offer, they sent out the confirmation notification after three weeks. They are still processing the payment… Just like all the money backs, it takes a long…. fortunately they do arrive at the end most of the time.

    Let's suggest them to include the email offer in the tracking page, so there would be less worry for the members.

    • Thanks darkfat.

      The Administrator on iRewards forum posted similar information at http://www.ireward.com.au/Forum/CashBack_Reviews/2306/1

      Quote:
      "The email offer will not be shown from the tracking page as these are not actually part of the normal cashback deals. We will notify the approved participants with email when the promotion is completed with the report from eToro. There will be no tracking records and the reward will go into your account directly."

      (I hope it's ok to quote as I believe their forums are public and you don't need to be logged in to read them).

      • That's good to hear. I guess we all just have to be patient. :)
