Awesome, was waiting for this since the last $10 deal, their pasta is so good.

  • Where's the new menu? Any ones with meat?

  • Awesome!

Nice deal, but when is the Vic branch going to open?

    • Same time when Apple open a store in Melbourne CBD?

      • I thought there is one since long ago near flinders?

        • That's My Mac, not Apple store.

        • @khing: oh never noticed that lol

  • Is the $10 pasta considered an entree ? So do you have to order the bigger main meal pasta to get the free kids meal?

    • looks like entree, I see 7 pieces of pasta on link

      • I think the $10 is limited to the new pastas only. I don't think all 7 are new. I'd be very interested in knowing which non seafood ones are $10

        • I just found terms and conditions it says
Available for lunch and dinner. There must be one adult dining per two free kids meals. The adult on the table must order a main size pasta or main in order to receive the Kids Eat Free Offer. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. So stacking does not look likely.

        • @marketingpolice: I've facebook messaged Jamie's and asked which pastas are $10. I've not asked about kids meals.

        • @voteoften:
JI said that for Perth there were four $10 dishes. The two seafood ones listed. And a eafood risotto and a ricotta cannelloni .

          Thanks OP!

    • Last time they did the 10 dollar pastas, they were main sized.

I am not sure if you can stack the deals - doesn't hurt to ask?

      • +1

they asked if i wanted entree or main size (same price for either)
        of course i went with main… =)

Kids, remember what to say when we get there

    we're under 6

And I'm a college student. Hehehe

      I want what you're smoking!

  • -3

The pasta will go well with my Jamie Oliver

    Cutlery
    Plates
    Garlic crusher

Just missing the Jamie Oliver Napkins although I'm not sure I want to wipe my mouth with his face.

Did you come from non breeders? If you don't want to subsidise kids, don't go to places that give special deals for them.

      • -7

I came from breeders who paid their own way. Who waited until they could financially provide for me. A rare concept now days, instead it's just pop them out and make it everyone elses' problem.

        • +4

HA. Sure, your parents never got anything for free……

        • +2

LOL! a toad that's not breeding? that's new!

        • +5

I guarantee that as a child you benefitted from other people's taxes. Get over yourself.

        • You are just a Scrooge. If kids are getting free pasta their small servings would be just made up of what's leftover from the other dishes, and they made their money from drinks and dessert

        • If this is how you feel, why are you here? All the freeloaders getting free dominos pizza, free sunscreen and working out how to optimise retail promotions to get the best result . It must drive you crazy. All these people looking to get deals subsidised by full freight paying customers. These kids deals are a marketing strategy to get patents in the restaurant. Just like the pub who offers$5 pints between 5-5pm. Do you begrudge those people availing themselves of this promotional offer? You are a goose. If breeders don't breed, who is going to change your nappy in your aged care home? Who is going to answer your calls for Emerhency services? Today's kids.

    • +4

Hmm, I wonder who you think is going to pay for your pension or help subsidise your aged care/medical expenses as you grow old. Appalling attitude.

    Not in Vic!!

  • +1

    states in title pls !

  • I wish they had one in Vic :(

  • is it available for takeaway?

  • This applied to all pasta or just the summer range?

  • +1

    Is take away possible?

  • When is it coming to VIC?

  • +1

Anyone tried this at Canberra Centre?

    • +3

Yes, three pastas were available for $10

      • 2 pastas available today - Octopus Ravioli and Spicy Sausage Pappardelle.

        Good discount off normal prices.

  • +1

How many cups of olive oil in each meal?

    • Olive oil is good for you. Pasta, not so much.

  • Great deal, until you get stung for a $6 coke and $10 sparkling mineral water on top

    • And mandatory tip.

      • Pay cash to avoid that awkward situation. Is that just in Perth or are all the Ji restaurants using extortion?

      • +1

What is the mandatory tip in Australia? Never heard of such a thing.

  • I wonder if I can just walk in?

  • +4

Pretty good deal. Had lunch for two for $20,just go a bit early and make sure you make a booking. Just got tap water. Didn't get asked for a tip.

    • Is it valid for all the pasta on the menu?

    • Whats the sizing like, did you get the main size or the starter size?

      • Seemed like when I went I got an entree size, so it might be by staff discretion, since it doesn't specify :(

  • Got the main size, there were two vege , two meat and two seafood options. I don't think its all the pasta - the available options were on a board and clearly advertised.

  • Just had my lunch at JI Perth. Can confirm the deal is on, and the food is definitely worth it for the price. Not all the pastas though, so check with them which one before ordering. The octopus ravioli is definitely has unique taste. Enjoy!

  • There gonna be big cues for this? Thikning of going in Sydney this eve. Or they take bookings? At work so can't call and check

    Brisbane pasta options

  • Are people getting rorted by the tipping system? Going to Brisbane Jamie's tonight, hope things don't get awkward.

    • They really push you to tip and make you feel a bit uncomfortable for asking for the $10 menu.

      • If one has a reservation done from $10 pasta link, restaurant should know you are there for that promo, right?

  • Had the Octopus ravioli with squid ink and Crab meat from 107 Pitt st, Sydney and it is amazing! Well worth the price tag. Thanks Op for posting the deal. Not much rush for Sat lunch.

  • Parramatta were doing the Primavera Ravioli, Fussili Arrabiata, Spicy Sausage Parapadelle, and a mushroom ravioli for $10. Paid in cash, no tip required but they did say that there was a surcharge for credit cards.

  • +1

I was at Jamie Oliver Adelaide yesterday. The food deffinitely worths it. Just remember all pasta dishes are not included in offer so need to ask which pasta dish is before placing the order. They have not mentioned the offer in the restaurant. Good luck every one

    • What were your options?

      • Can't remember exactly but was pretty similar to the one which is posted here for Brisbane. 5 pasta dishes and we chose spicy sausage and rissoto

        • Cool, thx. Entree or main size? m booked for tomrrow

        • +1

          @Foodee: main by default

  • Went with 2 others so tried the veal ragu tortellini, seafood risotto and octopus ravioli. All good but not worth full price. I.e. my pick, the octopus ravioli was $32 full price for 6 pieces of pasta.

  • Anyone have any luck with the kids eating free with the $10 pastas?

    • We were told the free kids meals need to be with a full priced adult meal i.e. not the $10 pastas or lunch specials.

  • +1

1.25% surcharge on any cards: including Westfield Giftcards … lol.

    • It goes through as savings, which is most likely why.

Wonder when the surcharge increased; it used to be 0.8%
