Purchase in AUD as it's the cheapest option.

Get in quick as I'm unsure of the maximum uses of this code.

There are reports that the power bank gets delivered within 8 days which is great for this price, priority line is needed to ensure it gets past customs.

left mine in the drawer for 2months, lost 1 quarter of battery

Are they stopping power banks at customs now?

    • +1

Yes, many companies have stopped shipping power banks to aus because they were denied entry at customs and sent back.

      • +1

Customs doesn't care.. by the time they see it, it already got off the plane. It's the shipping company that rejects them.

Thats why they can still get in through some retailers/shipping methods. Some shippers will accept Lithium with special handling (costs extra)

I had 2 ordered, one from TomTop and the other Banggood. Did not receive either of them. Had to request refund. One of them has refunded me. I suspect both had theirs returned to them but weren't going to issue refund unless I asked for it. TT told me to wait a bit longer. BG told me to check with the post office. I think they both got it back but don't want to refund me.

Now I won't buy any more of these unless they're in au already.

      • Nonsense.

    • No.

  • I'm still waiting for mine from this deal. It was also, Priority Line Shipping (5-10 Business Days) but has been almost a month now…

  • My order is still in processing from the last deal and there is no priority despatch to be honest.

  • 15.69 USD =19.8908AUD

    According to XE.com

No point using fee-free conversion cards.

Oh yep you're right, better off just paying in AUD as they beat the spot rate, that's a first.. Thanks for spotting that.

  • I have it and love it for its fast charging feature.

But now I have the Note8 and I am looking for similar power bank with usb type C. Can't find it cheap …

    • Just curious, what's wrong with a standard USB A>USB C cable?
Are there any benefits with a USB C > USB C?
Apart from carrying two cables or a cable and an adaptor?

Just curious, what's wrong with a standard USB A>USB C cable?

        https://www.howtogeek.com/240777/watch-out-how-to-buy-a-usb-…

Here’s the problem: USB Type-C devices can support faster charging, which is great. But most USB Type-A devices were never designed to provide as much power as a USB Type-C device can take.

For example, let’s say you have a computer with an older USB (Type-A) port and a new smartphone with a USB Type-C port. You’d connect the computer to the smartphone with a USB-Type-A-to-Type-C cable. A properly designed cable is supposed to prevent the smartphone from drawing too much power from the computer’s older USB port. A bad cable that isn’t designed properly will allow the smartphone to attempt to draw a larger amount of power, though, which could damage your computer or its USB port.

        • So the problem is if you use usb a to usb type c on a computer with an older usb port using a bad cable? So if you are just using said usb a to type c cable on a powerbank. Then there should be no problem?

Or you might just be worried you might accidentally plug you usb a to type c cable on your pc?

        • @xoom: the type A, type B, and type C refer to the connector. The USB standard is what permits higher data and power usage. A USB 3 type A and a USB 3 type C cables will perform identically.

        • @mistat: thats exactly what i was getting at. So asking for a type c powerbank at this stage because they cost so much more is just not worth it.

        • @xoom: sorry champ I didn't quite understand your question!

        • @mistat: i was just going back to what whooah1979 posted.

In the context of the discussion. It's about a powerbank with usb type a versus a powerbank with usb type c. There is no advantage over the other when it comes to the port type. And not to mention type c port powerbanks has a hefty premium to it without any gains or benefits.

The only issue with a type a to type c cable is you could plug this into an old computers usb type a port and the phone could overdraw voltage on said port and could damage the port. But again thats not what we are discussing though.

  • Why does mine come to $14.43 aud with code? Do i need to change the shipping method or did this deal just get better for me?!

    • It should come up as $13.85 at the cart and then it will add the shipping cost when you proceed to the next step.

      • Thanks for your reply. Just that when i pay in us dollars (comes to 10.99 us) papal converts it and asks me to pay $14.43 aud. Thought i might have been doing something wrong. Just thought I'd ask.

        • Are you using Paypal Checkout? After you click through it'll make you pay for shipping afterwards.

        • @doweyy: yep. Paypal checkout.

        • @qwicko:

Yeah everything is fine on your end then, just go and change the currency to AUD on the gearbest site first so you pay less and follow the prompts to complete payment.

        • @doweyy:Got it. Cheers.

    • Well if you kept going you would of seen that there is only 1 shipping method that equates to what is mentioned in here

I would just like inform you guys that livechat/support seems to have just told me that they are unable to send this item to Australia :/

    https://i.imgur.com/7By91jl.png

    • Odd the deal from a couple weeks ago I received the powerbank within a week

    • I just spoke to Sunny and she confirmed that these will still get delivered, I'm unsure why the livechat told you that.

  • I don't understand - i bought old pwoerbanks back in the day - when it's aus stock how is it any different shiping it by mail to us versus from overseas (as it's already landed off the plane)?

Also - is QC2.0 able to deliver full charging functionality to iphones say iphone 6/7 or samsung s8's? Or is QC3.0 required to get the most out of those?

    • when it's aus stock how is it any different shiping it by mail to us versus from overseas (as it's already landed off the plane)?

      proper paperwork makes it work.

    • QC2/3 isn't in Apple products so it'll max out at 2.1a. Samsung S8 uses QC2.

  • I don't understand. Is this is it Quickcharging input or output?

    • Input: 5.0V 2.0A, 9V / 12V 18W
      Output: 5.1V 2.4A, 9V / 12V 15W ( max )

      Both
