Cute little phone if you are nostalgic/want fast updates. Stock Android 7 with updates. Android Oreo is promised for Nokia 3, 5, 6. My dad's Nokia 6 is on the September 2017 patch already.
Apparently you get good battery life (84h on GSMArena test) on the Nokia 5.
Dual SIM 4G/3G on Nokia 5
Can add the Nokia 5 (TA-1053 dual sim variant) to the list. Put my Boost SIM in slot 1 and Amaysim SIM in slot 2 and I'm getting 4G on Boost and 3G on Amaysim simultaneously.
I'm using the Nokia 5 at the moment while my Pixel has gone back for exchange. It's a great budget phone.
Smoothly running nearly stock Android ☑️
Battery life is very good ☑️
Fingerprint reader does the job ☑️
NFC for Android Pay ☑️
Screen is fine (Colours are a bit muted but brightness is good) ☑️
Sound quality/volume is good ☑️
And it looks and feels good in the hand. Build quality is what you'd expect from a device wearing the Nokia nameplate. It's smooth under normal use. I used it for some torrent downloads which it did not enjoy. It might be the same under graphics heavy gaming. That's not knocking the phone because the trooper's only armed with 2gb of ram. But you don't take on Bathurst in a Barina.
This phone ticks a lot of boxes. Excellent value.
