      • cheers mate!! hope I got this on best price in market :)

  • Success buying S8 Blue

  • How did you get 680 aud for s8+, I am getting 706 with paypal?

    what am I doing wrong?

    • i just bought the s8+ as well and got charged $706 dollars, paypal is using an exchange rate of 0.78 plus they charge additional fees, i think thats why it costs more

    • You need to change setting in paypal to change it to Credit card currency conversion instead of getting it done by paypal.

      • too late now ;)

        • Ah, in case if someone else needed follow this

        • @Jimmy007: My credit card's exchange rate was lower than paypals anyway at 0.73 vs 0.78, $705 is still a great price for this phone, o well

      • One can't apply voucher code unless using PayPal as payment method. Just tried it and it won't let me…

        • Read my comment above with a link to instructions

        • You can elect to choose your banks exchange rate, mine was 0.73 which was lower than paypals so I just used paypals exchange rate, $25 more sucks but 705 is still a great price for this phone, o well

        • @slemp2:
Ok… well so be it. Can be bothered figuring it out. Will just pay 706 aud.
Put it on wife's amex, at least we should get points…

  • Will these American phones work with Optus network?

    • This isn't an american, it's the international version and yes it will work it has band 28

  • PayPal transaction of S8+ :

    Purchase details
Samsung Galaxy S8+ G955FD Dual Sim (FACTORY UNLOCKED) 6.2" Black Gold Gray Pink [Black]

    $639.99 USD

    Voucher -negative $115.20 USD
    Shipping $22.99 USD

    Total $547.78 USD

PayPal conversion to charge on my CC: AUD $681.40

    • Same amount on my CC (Westpac?)

That's not the PayPal converted price. That's the USD price on my card ie using the bank's conversion I'm pretty sure though.

      • mine with CBA! also I believe it would be $6~$7 cash rewards.

        • fkn CBA, my CC charged me $705 lmao

          Exchange rate:
          1 Australian dollars = 0.7760 US dollars

        • @shizmo: you mean CBA CC charge you that much? $705??

        • @wisiwuget:

Yep! Diamond CC attached to my Paypal… Weird.

        • @shizmo: mate! mine also diamond awards amex with CBA charged $681.40. Weird!!

        • @shizmo: ANZ charged me $705 too, scumbags

        • Bankwest platinum mastercard charged me 706 as well

        • @broot: absolutely does not make sense of why you all guys be charged $700+.

        • +1

@wisiwuget: Did you pay directly with credit card or through paypal? Probably paypal shenanigans

        • @Mikey198:
Paid through Paypal in USD with Westpac Amex so not Paypal I think. Shows as AUD$681.40 pending on bank statement.

They do tend to change slightly when finalised though. I'd be surprised (and annoyed) if it went up by ~$25 though.

        • @Mikey198: PayPal

        • Paid via paypal and my 28 degreees MC charged me $691.59 . What a joke. I thought these guys don't charge conversion fees so it should have been $680

  • now looking for reasonable screen protector or casing. JBHI selling S8+ casing for $64.

  • Guys why can't I buy this? it says that the code can't be applied to your order

    • login to eBay, try voucher in capital. shouldn't be a problem.

      • I did mate, I try to checkout at my cart, then I proceed to payment, choose PayPal. down there I put my voucher PARTY18 and it said that it doesn't work on this item. is anyone else experiencing this?

        • I just verified it once again: the voucher works just absolutely fine.

          Voucher
          PARTY18
Applied: US $115.20 Applied: US $115.20

  • Under S8+ Product Description: it says "North American AC adapter will be added to the purchase." means we have to purchase Australian compatible charging adaptor??

    • You just need to buy an aussie power brick, i'm going to just use one from my old samsung phone

      • sure!! will go browse JB tomorrow.

    • The products themselves seem to come from random sources so the genuine adapter in the box could be anything. Sounds like they are adding in a US to whatever adapter to suit rather than an actual plug pack.

      • well in that case, will see what's what in box first., will go from there.

  • The only problem with this seller is warranty.

You will have to pay shipping regardless of fault from the look of it…

  • pulled the trigger on the s8. thanks op.

used divipay (refer recent post on here) ad to avoid the currency fee. cost 633. added the divipay card to PayPal to get PayPal protection too.

    • divipay? Can't find any reference in the post, could you shed some light?

    • Do you add an USD virtual card in divipay? It only allow me to add AUD virtual card, if so, how does it avoid the paypal conversion rate?

      • not USD. add the AUD card to paypal, then go into paypal and change the currency conversion setting for the divipay card (google for exact steps if you cant find it).

  • Has anyone received CashRewards tracking email for this deal?

    • +1

      I haven't yet…

  • +1

Has anybody had theirs ship yet? Been 24h + and hasn't shipped yet for me

    • Yeah same here. Paid about 6.30pm on Thursday. Nothing apart from the standard ebay/PayPal receipts and a message offering some kind of extended warranty plan that I've not received before.

Oh well, ebay/PayPal should cover it if these guys flake out.

      • Mine just got shipped, coming from Texas, says 4 day estimated arrival.

  • +1

Hurrrrray!! Mine has been shipped :) expected delivery on 25th Sep 6:00pm by FedEx.

    • +1

Same, I like how FedEx gets my email so I automatically get the FedEx emails too.

Although they've messed up the address a bit making it difficult to read. It says

      Name
      Company Name (small unknown company)
<second part of street name>. Queensland Suite xx, Level xx, number <part of street name>
      <Suburb>, <Postcode>
      AU

Hard to show without posting my actual address but it will definitely cause confusion so I'll have to contact FedEx.

Also mine says it's a 1 lb FedEx Envelope. 1lb seems a little light and no way it's going in an envelope.

      • I would suggest not to change or update the address of any sort (unless it's incorrect) probably this makes them more confuse I believe. If necessary then contact FedEx later end of next week with your tracking info and sort out confusion with address.

How do you check what FedEx have your delivery address anyway? I can't seem to find delivery address on their tracking website. Should be the same entered with PayPal.

envelope confuses me too however weight seems to be fine with approx. 450gms by roughly judging weight of items would be in sealed box :)

        • Everything on the address is correct. Mainly the first part is swapped with second with the street name broken in the middle. Certainly not uninteligible but with the triple street name it might be confusing. Basically if the two lines are swapped. It's right and on my mobile it runs the two lines together. Looking at the email in Outlook though it's much clearer that the two are swapped ie.

          Company Name (small unknown company)
<second part of street name>. Queensland
Suite xx, Level xx, number <first part of street name>
          <Suburb>, <Postcode>

The address was listed in the first email I got from FedEx at 1.29am this morning 12 minutes after the order was sent in ebay and I received the email for that.

        • @Shonky: just had a look at mine and noticed the same confusion in address.

received FedEx notification email @1:29 AM with address mentioned as per below format (swapped lines)

          <Company Name>
NEW SOUTH WALES <—- first line Address
Suite No. Street Name <—- second line Address
          Suburb, Postcode
          AU

I'm on same page here with you mate.

        • @wisiwuget:
Yeah now I see that lines are actually separate, it isn't as unclear and you'd hope any courier would be able to detect the "Suite" line should be above the suburb and figure out they are just swapped.

  • just checked FedEx tracking email and apparently parcel has reached FedEx shipping center at MATRAVILLE AU. Hoping the package would be delivered by Mon or Tue.

    • Same. Got there 7pm last night. Due date is tomorrow though (and I'm in Brisbane) . Might get lucky though. Occasionally I've had items tracking show in Sydney in the morning and received the same day in Brisbane but normally you'd expect it overnight.

      • Brisbane isn't too far. Mine is just delivered 10mins ago :)

  • Email notification from Cash rewards.

    RECEIPT DETAILS:
    Retailer: eBay Australia
Date of sale: 21 Sep 2017
    Sale value: AUD 793.20 *
    Expected cashback: AUD 9.91
    Estimated approval: 15 Nov 2017

  • not sure why the sale value shows incorrect, it should be $629.47 AUD instead of $793.20

    • The nature of these percentage off codes on eBay is that the seller seems to get the full amount and somehow eBay pays for the discount. So tax invoices etc all show the full amount before discount (TRS works on the full amount too). I guess this applies to cash rewards too.

    • Don't you like getting extra cashback?

      • why not!! :)

  • Yahooooooo!! received my FedEx :) I got to tell you this S8+ is amazzzzing. Thank you very much OP.

    • That’s good, don’t forget to write a review for seller for future posts

    • What's in the box? Does it come with the USB Connector and the Micro USB Connector?

      • Package Content: S8+, USB cable, USB port adaptor, AKG Earphone, Ejection pin and Quick Start Guide.

      • yes it does.
Also comes with UK power adapter , AKG headphones , USB-A to USB-C cable

        • Package also Included:

          ** USB Connector (USB Type-C)
          ** Micro USB Connector

  • Mine arrived today. Amazing service.

Ordered Thursday night, and it arrived at my place at 9am on Monday morning. That's faster than most AU sellers I've dealt with.
And it shipped from hurricane ravaged Houston of all places.

The phone itself was sealed with tamper proof sticker intact. As stated before by others, it appears to be ME stock.

  • I believe you don't need power converter since the included adapter can take input from 100-240V. I used a direct home power socket :) for my quick power adaptor to charge this phone.

  • Mine hasn't come yet, supposed to come before 5pm today, live in south east Queensland, anyone else?

    • Live in Brisbane. On the fedex tracking website mine still only says 'Label Created'…
Probably still somewhere in the US even though scheduled delivery was due for today.

      • Mines been sitting at Brisbane Airport since 10am this morning, hopefully I'll get it tomorrow

    • Got mine today about midday in the Valley.

New sealed box (not shrink wrapped but not sure if they ever are). The inner box had a factory seal and phone is brand new. Packed fairly loosely in a cardboard box in a Fedex bag.

Looks to be a UAE variant (it is according to the device info screen) - has Arabic on the back - but came up in English asking for language, so you'd never know. Has a "Samsung Gulf" warranty sticker on the box. I probably wont' even bother trying to flash to XSA as I don't really care about Samsung Pay and will just use Android Pay (unless someone tells me otherwise)

      • S8+ yeah?

        • Yes

      • Mines the UAE version aswell, came with a UAE type G plug, hopefully theres an australian adapter for that

      • Does your UAE version also have SHAHID bloatware app, I can't uninstall it

        • Yes and yes you can't remove it unfortunately (well not without rooting I guessing). Some of the other bloatware can be removed though which is different to my S5.

      • I have the XSG UAE variant as well and successfully setup samsung pay and used it at Woolworths today, was going to flash Australian XSA but am scared of tripping knox

        • Yeah I don't really care about Samsung Pay. Will just use Android Pay - I don't really see what the Samsung variant gains me.

As for that Shahid app, I have "Disabled" it so it doesn't even appear in the menu. Android says it oly takes up 360kB so probably not really worth worrying about beyond that.

        • +1

@Shonky: Samsung pay is better than Android and Apple pay because it has NFC and MST and the other two only have NFC, MST is patented by samsung and can be used at every terminal even if it doesn't have NFC, its basically just like swiping your debit card, this video explains it better than I do, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyUqgKQ1yq8

        • @Mikey198:
Got it. I used to be able to do that with my Westpac cards and the Westpac app on my S5 but they took that feature away recently and now only support Android Pay. Will give it a try then.

        • @Shonky: hiya, am unable to add CCs to Samsung pay app. Says cards not supported. How could I get rid of UAE bloatware Samsung Pay app ??? Tried reinstalling app from Google store but issue still remains. @google play store app icon shows as in blue color 'pay' however changed when installed. How to fix this?

        • @wisiwuget:
I added my Westpac CC with no problems to the UAE version of Samsung Pay. Still has the UAE special offers etc and the link to "valid cards" takes me to somewhere in the UAE (I presume). Westpac sent me the activation SMS no problem and it all seemed to work. Your bank has to support adding your card to a phone app like Android Pay or Samsung Pay. They don't all support this of course.

I tried it once to today (Stellarossa on a "Tyro" machine) and got "insert card" or similar. I'm not sure if that's the generic response to NFC not working or it really wanted the card. This is about the same experience I get with Android Pay. Works maybe 1 in 10 so mostly pointless relying on it.

  • Hi everyone, just a quick review of this product/ shipping etc in regards to the Galaxy S8.

Purchased on Thursday 21/9 was shipped out on the Friday 22/9 arrived at my place on Monday 25/9, shipping was quick! Samsung phone packaging was placed in a cardboard box with some paper, and this was placed in a FedEx bubble wrap bag. The phone box was sealed with the original samsung sticker. Booting up, the language that came up was Thai (so I'm guessing that was the country of origin). Only issue I've faced was flashing an Australian XSA rom for this model of phone (For Samsung Pay to work), I have yet to find an Australian region XSA rom. All in all, very happy with the phone. Sealed and all original from the seller.

  • Just received it a few hours ago, camera is amazing, OIS works. mine is from UAE, got a little hot during software updates, I think thats normal.173996 ANTUTU Benchmark, much better than the Snapdragon 835. Checked the IMEI, no issues, looks legit. Great phone.

    • Fed Ex says its still in transit 5 hours later, lol.
