Is this cheap?
It is digital code too so would be able to be played as soon as midnight.
Mightyape sell it at $84 AUD but with shipping it totals to $97 and will take 1-2 days for delivery which basically loses the appeal of Ronaldo/Icon edition.

Seems a bit expensive considering you can get the game and the console for $290 AUD from amazon U.K.? Looks cheap when compared to au though.
Check out Saudi Arabia psn store as they have it for around 70. They don't specify what currency it's in though, so if it's $70 Arabian then that's worth around $25 aud. No one has confirmed this though, just a heads up could either be a massive bargain or just us retail price.
Well the Saudi currency is Riyal, not Dollar, so if it actually says $70 then it's obviously not in their local currency.
so Saudi's have to buy things in us currency in their own country's psn store?
Just like how we have to pay in USD on our Steam store
No, $100 is not cheap for a game that will be nearly identical to a $20 game (fifa 17). Go ahead and downvote me, but that is my opinion.
I am not sure if you know but if you buy this edition to play in your Aussie Account, you are not going to get the weekly packs.
But if you know that and own FIFA 17 already, then choose Icon Edition by creating a Canadian Account, redeeming the in game exclusive 10% discount. So that costs CAD $107.991* (almost same in AUD).
*You have to buy one $20 and two $50 Canadian PSN cards which will cost around AUD $122. You can use the remaining $12 after buying FIFA 18 Icon Edition for ~$107 to buy other games such as
Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition for $6.79 or
Metro: Last Light Redux for $6.99 or
Murdered: Soul Suspect for $4.99 or
You get more discounts with PS Plus. 3 months for AUD $18.43 or 1 year for AUD $51.22 plus is way cheaper compared to US/AU PSN
Icon Edition at AU PSN after 10% discount is AUD $116.955
Why would you not get the weekly packs?
because of FUT Champions, squad battles, divisions, offline seasons, tournaments, daily challenges, SBCs. Paying extra for forty 15k packs aint worth it, especially when the player prices keeps going down over 20 weeks.
The ones that have great squads or good at trading dont get the 20 or 40 weekly packs, they get standard edition, then spent the money saved on FIFA points right from the early webapp release. Buy FIFA points now, it will automatically transfer to FIFA 18 webapp, open packs, sell everything, get a great squad right from week 1.
Can you transfer the FIFA points through web app? I thought it's once you logged in through console.
@koflok: you can if you buy fifa points in fifa 17 right now.
so youre saying buying from another region on my AU account i wouldnt receive the packs at all?
@lowrider88: no because packs are considered as dlc or addons and they are always tied to the account that bought it.
If i buy it from there (or any other country) can I still buy the FIFA points in game? Or I can only purchase the vouchers (ie from Amazon)?
I would assume the server I am connected to will still be Australia if I play it here right?
And can my FIFA EASFC account be linked to the other country account? Coin boost and all that jazz
Cheers
If i buy it from there (or any other country) can I still buy the FIFA points in game?
You have to buy FIFA points in that account, so you buy the game from Canada's store and you buy fifa points in Canada's store. If you want to use your Aussie Account to play, which you can, you have to buy FIFA points from Aussie Store.
I would assume the server I am connected to will still be Australia if I play it here right?
Yes. Servers dont depend on your account's region, it depends on your IP Address.
And can my FIFA EASFC account be linked to the other country account?
No, its only for the account that is already associated with. So Aussie account with level 50 cannot be linked with Canadian Account.

Ah this is the dealbreaker.

Wait, so I can play the game I buy from Canada's store on my Aussie account?
If I buy FIFA from Canada's store the game would be downladed to my Canada account, right?
Which means when I swap over to my Aussie account, the game wouldn't be there on my games list?
By the way, looking at this http://psn4.com/search/fifa+18, the cheapest seems to be from Indonesia.
Icon edition after 10% discount and currency exchange is only at $99 for the Icon Edition.
12+1 months for PSN is only $33 too.
Ah this is the dealbreaker.
EASFC level should not stop you from saving money, it can be so easily earned.
Wait, so I can play the game I buy from Canada's store on my Aussie account?
yes, as long as you set canadian account as primary ps4.

yes but you can still play it on your AU account as long as Canadian account is primary ps4

game would not show up in your AU Games purchased list but it would show up in your downloaded and installed section, so you can play like regular.
Icon edition after 10% discount and currency exchange is only at $99 for the Icon Edition.
same thing applies, you will only get the packs in the Indonesian Account and it does not carry over to Aussie Account or takes the benefit of setting ps4 as primary. You will be able to play the game on any account but you wont get the packs.
12+1 months for PSN is only $33 too.
Yep, its the best price. I recommend every one to get it, as long as you dont care about online cloud storage and your current set of ps plus games. If you just want to play online and play the future ps plus titles, you should always subscribe to whichever is the cheapest.
EASFC level should not stop you from saving money, it can be so easily earned.
Fair enough. I don't play any other games except for FIFA so I'm not too fused re my PSN account. Just want to get those early game 1000 coin boosts. Haha
So correct me if I'm wrong here, what I need to do now is
(1. Make Indonesian PSN & EA account and level up the EASFC)
2. Load up FIFA points on the Indonesian account so that it can be transferable during early web app access.
3. Buy FIFA 18 (and activate PS Plus) on Indonesian account and it will be my primary account
4. During launch just play normally on Indonesian account.
5. If I wanna buy FIFA points, I'll buy it based on Indo's pricing. (Can I do this in game?)
Alternatively if I want to still keep my Aussie PSN and EASFC,
During launch switch to Aussie PSN account and play FIFA from there, but I won't get any packs
I think EA will cause issues with a new account created especially around before the release of FIFA 18, they will block transfer market activity etc.
Just use the account that you used in FIFA 17, load points in there, use them during webapp. You can sell everything anyway, so transfer coins later in small amounts to the account with weekly packs.
You dont need to buy PS Plus again if you already have it. Just set the account with PS Plus as primary ps4 and you will be able to enjoy online gaming and PS Plus games on all the accounts on PS4.
After launch, its best to play with the account that has weekly packs in it.
If yo wanna buy fifa points, then you decide if its for AU or Indo, if you buy it in Indo Account, it will be Indo pricing.
Honestly if this seems too much and I think its getting too much to handle, just buy standard edition at the cheapest price and buy fifa points in AU account in FIFA 17, let them transfer, use them in FIFA 18 from webapp release and also keep EASFC level.
This is 20$ cheaper than RRP in Australia but you get the code at 5pm AEST on the 26th, so if you want to play at midnight here in Australia then the only option is the PSN/Xbox store or a midnight launch. Good deal nonetheless if you can wait it out.
