On our new $129 Cap Plan, each month customers will now enjoy:

  • Unlimited standard national voice and video calling;
  • Unlimited standard national SMS to any Australian mobile network;
  • Unlimited MessageBank®;
  • 3GB data to use in Australia so customers can check their email and browse the mobile internet even more; and
  • $50 of included value for calls, SMS, MMS and video to international numbers.

The only other unlimited mobile plan I know of is $99 from Vodafone and that only has 1.5GB of data

Compared to Vodafone this new plan has 3GB of data which by itself probably makes up for the $30 price difference.

    You may want to check your facts about the Vodafone $99 plan first, as Voda does include international SMS and PXT:

    If you don't need a phone, international or that much data then Optus has $69 unlimited calls/SMS, 1GB data. But its a 12 month minimum plan with 2 months free (online).

      VHA have had $79 unlimited caps for a while; and they include handsets.

      I believe that the main exclusions are 13/1800 numbers and voicemail.

        Also, the VHA caps include international SMS and MMS in the cap, whereas the Telstra ones do not.

    If you don't need international calls & txt you can check this out.
    From virgin mobile online you can get a Samsung Galaxy S on a 24 month Topless plan with 4gb data for $89. Plus if you enter promo code bluegrass you get 3 months free access. So it works out to be $77.90 each month.
