    • Yes, eBay pen doesn't come with the Parker gift box.

      • what about pineapple pen?

I've purchased these "Parker Sonnet" pens from eBay before.
Turns out that they were fake af.
I immediately filed a dispute and the seller accepted with "sorry I didn't know".

Coincidentally, the seller from the linked you provided is the exact same seller.

He's obviously not that sorry then.

        • Does anyone want a free fake?

He's sorry he got caught. I bought two Original Samsung phone batteries which arrived with both having the same Serial Number. I got a quick refund from the seller.

  • Is it that much different to this one for $15?

i suspect those selling for ~$15 are fake. most of them came from suppliers from aliexpress (just my wild guess).
fell for them initially but later found that the quality are not too bad
i wouldnt mind buying counterfeit parkers, but genuine one for $10 more - i am very tempted to go for the real stuff

In my opinion, you wouldn't mind the quality of the fake pens until you compare it with the real one.
      The difference is significant.
Like comparing instant coffee and fresh brewed quality beans.

      • maybe….
i've got some parker IM rollerball…
i "think" i have both real and fake
        they felt the same
but perhaps the real ones are fake anyway and hence my indifference…
i dont think the reverse is the case… XD

if thats the case i reckon i should stock up some of these..

        • If it can take the Parker ink cartridge, I don't see how it would make that much difference as the writing mechanism is in the ink cartridge and not the body.

        • @TheContact: I am not sure on these lower end Parker pens(yes, I am calling these $100 pens lower end), but in higher end pens, the balance and feel is different, the ink is only one aspect.

        • @tagrobert: ahh fair point. Anything but a fountain pen seems a waste in the higher end though. Well to me anyway.

        • Maybe you got a "high quality" fake one.
Take a look at David Jones next time you're nearby, they sell quite a few premium pens.

        • I am not pen expert, but I think the country or manufacture determines the quality of Parker pens these days, which worries me for his item because in the sellers description "Designed in the UK"
I know they have a licensed factory in India that produces pens that are chalk and cheese compared to the ones manufactured in the UK. I am not sure if this particular pen is affected.
Yes, I have genuine ones manufactured in both countries, both low end and med range.

Also, IM Parker pens are low end, even the genuine ones are so so.

  • Quite happy with my Xiaomi pen. Thank you :)
