List & Sell up to 10 Items Free (No Insertion/Final Value Fees) @ eBay

2461

Another round of no final value fee listings from eBay :) The link in the post will take you to the automatic signup page, if you're targeted then it will accept the offer, it not then you've missed out sorry.

My account missed out but my parents got it, so unsure of the targeted status.

The Terms & Conditions page is currently unvailable but it's safe to say it's the same as These Terms but with different dates.

Terms are Live and have been Updated

The promotion runs from 00:00 (AEST) on 13 Sept 2017 00:00:00 (AEST) to 11 October 2017 23.59.59 (“Promotion Period”).

Items must be listed and available for purchase by 23:59 (AEST) on 30 September 2017 in order to qualify for the promotion.

Some FAQ's for these deals:

Q: Does the item need to be sold before the end date?
A: No, the item only need to be listed before the end date and can be sold after that.

Q: Does it work on items you already have listed ? Or do you need to remove and relist within the offer dates?
A: You must remove and relist the listing to ensure the final value fees are nil.

As always, enjoy :)

  • After accepting the offer it says "Visit your Seller Dashboard to confirm your account is still eligible for this offer before listing." I use the link to my seller dashboard but I can't see any reference to any promotions at all. Can anyone give me a hint of where to find it please???

    • Bottom left of the overview page in your seller hub, together with your 40 free listings promo.

  • I have existing listing that I remove and re-list.

However in the ebay selling page in the offer section I still see "Used 0 Left 10" indicating the offer has'n been used up yet.

Does the count for this offer only start when the item sold?? anyone can help?

EDIT: didn't read previous comments. Some people said the count starts when the item is sold so hopefully it works that way

    • True, I noticed that too. However, not sure if it's a bug or need to be sold to get the offer.

  • Finally got one, thanks OP. ;)

  • This is seriously messed up, I listed a number of items and none of them came out of the promo.

Yet my current ads that are set to automatically relist when they expire come out of the promo when they're relisted.

I've contacted eBay and they said they've put a note in my account and to contact them for a credit once the items sell.

Pain in the arse as I have dozens of ads and they're all set to relist so I have to manually keep track of everything.

Life can be so hard being a scab.

  • I accepted this offer in my account and listed two items. I noticed the listings weren't coming off the 10 free listings so I called ebay customer support. They told me I had to use the 40 free listings first (I had over 20 listings left) before I could use the next promotional offer.

So I did just that and now the next listing which I thought would come up with no insertion fee due to the promotional offer is coming up with an insertion fee! Will this be refunded if the sale goes through?

Or have I already used up my promotional offer due to listing those 20+ listings ??

They told me I had to use the 40 free listings first

That's bullshit and it's not in their terms and conditions, they basically say anything to get rid of you as they have some many calls.

I've had a number of items set to automatically relist and they came out of this promo, yet when I listed new items it came out of my 40 free.

It's all messed up and the promo was originally broken and their terms and conditions page didn't exist.

Will this be refunded if the sale goes through?

The way it's worked before is that it will still be invoiced as normal but you should receive the promo credit for insertion and FVFs.

Don't know about this because it's screwed up though, I suggest you keep a record of the item numbers and listing and selling dates.

      • Ugh, that is so annoying!

So it looks like it is working fine for some people and for others there is a glitch.

Looks like I will have to contact ebay customer support again -_-

Love your comment "Life can be so hard being a scab" - so true lol

Sold an item and the offer did not trigger, was told by chat that there is a glitch going on with this offer

    • did you use up all your 40 free listings first?

      • That shouldn't matter. That was never an issue in other similar promos. Plus makes no sense to have to list 40 items just to get 10 free. Definitely some sort of glitch with this promo like the last one where they had to keep emailing the offer over and over again.

    • Same thing happened to me. I've accepted the offer and listed an item yesterday and sold today - was charged the FVF!

Did chat give you any further details? - Yeh okay, there's a glitch - but then what? Will it be fixed and will you get a refund of the FVF for the item you just sold?

  • If it is not reflected in the invoice that will be generated at the end of the month ebay will credit you providing that you met the terms of the promotion.

Yup sold one and got charged 20 odd bucks in FV fees. The counter thingy is not working it's messed up. Hopefully they fix it.

  • T&Cs: http://sellercentre.ebay.com.au/promo/5623

Seems to be working for one of my accounts.

Same as the others, i had to call ebay to get the FV credited manually. They say i have to the same for each item that sells

  • I also reported the problem to ebay and they are manually crediting my account FVF for items ….. definitely this is a technical bug and they agree!

  • Just to add to the comments above, I sold a couple of computers tonight and was charged a fee. Got onto chat and they immediately credited my account, so all good.

  • can anyone tell me if the discount is applied immediately after the sale happens, or if the final value fees are credited back at the end of the offer period / on your monthly statement anniversary date?

    • It supposed to be immediately. But i have to call for each item

  • I took part of this promo but I was charged the final valuation fees :-(
Was it because I did fixed price?

    • +1

No, it's because their system is broken (and they know it).

You need to call them and ask for it to be fixed. The guy I spoke to said they were getting this "hundreds of times a day and are trying to fix it".

Also, this appears not to be targetted any more (I think?) - it was in my banner on the main page this morning.

Folk, remember to take a screenshot of your promo.
eBay asked for a screenshot as proof that I signed up to the June List 10 free promo.
Unfortunately 3 months has pasted and it is now no longer in my account details (so I couldn't take a screenshot) :-(

  • Can we still list items by 11 October to get this offer…? Thanks

    • Sorry, I believe the listings must have been submitted before the 30th of September.

      • It's says promotion ends 11 October…

        • Its a weird conflict.
I would assume they will point to last possible posting date of 30th September but whether the promotion runs for 30 days after that or stops on October 11th is unclear

  • Just wondering, if we list before 30-Sept, but the item sold on 15-Oct.
Will I still be qualified for the $0 final-value-fee for this promo ?
    Thanks.

    • +1

Yes I believe that is the case.

    • I think you should contact customer service first. It could be read that October 11th is the deadline. I know it is different from previous promos but the T&C are all we have to go by.

  • +1

This is a seriously weird offer.
Its says in the T&C that items must be listed for sale by the 30th of September, but the end date of the promotion is October 11th.
Normally you can list items for a full 30 days duration right to the end date of the promotion and spill into the weeks ahead.
This time it is unclear whether the last possible day of the promotion is in fact the 11th of October or October 29th, assuming 30 day listings were made on September 30th

  • Has anyone had a listing made before 30-Sep and sold after 11-Oct .. and have you received FVF refund? If not, will eBay honour the promotion and refund the FVF? - or is the listing not eligible of sold after 11-Oct?

    • I did after spending over an hour on chat explaining things to them and forwarding the email offer etc. The offer seems to have disappeared from my list of expired promos as well so they had no idea what was going on. List by 30th Sep with 11th Oct thrown in there makes no sense unless their intention was to confuse the heck out of everybody and trick everyone. Also T&Cs don't seem to mention the 10 listings either (the email offer does). This was one major screwup.

  • Got a reply from an eBay rep saying the item has to actually be sold before 30th September to be eligible. Confusing and misleading deal. Rubbish. This does not deserve 250+ positive votes.

    • I think it just shows how disorganised and confused eBay are at the moment. That guy seems to have just made that answer up. There is no way you could interpret the 30th of Septemeber as the last selling date from the T&C.
The earliest last selling date is October 11th.

    • That's just a load of BS. This promo failed to register properly on their system so they kept charging fees. I was told there was a glitch. You should have another chat with them online.

    • I got told that it must be a new listing and not a relist of an expired/ended item… I only did a relist thinking that would work fine, but apparently not…

      • They are just making things up as they go.
There is no requirement that it must be a new, never before listed item in the T&C.
If you asked another customer service person, you would get a different answer.
Ebay have really lost the plot

I had definitely accepted this offer and it was active during my listings and it's somehow gone. Not even in the history of my Promotional Offers. Now the guy on chat is telling me he can't credit me.

    Fuuuuuuuuuuck ebay.

Edit Stood my ground and after "talking to their supervisor", they have decided to refund the fees for me. But what I find more interesting is that the promotion doesn't show up for me any more. I definitely accepted it and it was active when I listed my items. Going to screenshot it from now on.
