Just a heads up for those of you who have prepaid cards.
Not only is expiry for $10 credit 7 days instead of 28 as of a few months ago, but now I see that "Prepaid Daily Maximiser is closing to new customers on 5 October 2017."

I think it's just the 1GB offer that's ending and it will go back to 500MB per day with 7 day expiry.
http://www.optus.com.au/shop/mobile/prepaid/plans#price10 says:
1GB Data Offer: Offer ends 05/10/17
Also the CIS talks about 500MB per day + $2 bump of 524MB if that threshold is crossed:

But it would be good to get confirmation whether it's the plan or the bonus data offer that's ending. Seems strange to say the free streaming continues until next January if they are ditching the plan.
TBH the 1GB was hard to reach for most users. The free music streaming was more useful and that ends 28/01/18.
When I use up my $10 packs bought for $1 or $2, I'll be avoiding Optus. Their kiasu marketeers seem to like dreaming up lots of complicated stipulations.
Ditto. I had already had enough hassles with activation when it was 28 day expiry. Now that it's 7 days I have to worry about whether I'll be playing the Optus chat game this week. I bought about 40 of these cards and wish I'd only bought half as many.

Yeah its something i'm interested in as well
The new plan is the old old plan lol
