I have had 3 cheap stick mixers self destruct on me over about 10 years. I got sick of throwing out all the plastic accessories. This unit isn't designed to compete with the $20 Kmart jobs. If you don't cook much, get one of them instead.
This time I am buying a quality one. Made in Switzerland with a 20 year warranty on the motor. If you think long term and like nice tools, this seems to be one of the best price/performance. Hopefully the last one you will ever need to buy.

Can definitely confirm. Bamix is next level. Top quality, comparing these with regular stick blenders is like comparing a Suzuki Swift and a Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet. Totally worth the investment, this price is awesome.
