HP Spectre X360 i7-7500U 8GB RAM, 256GB M.2 SSD, 13.3" Full HD Touch Screen $1682.10 @ JW eBay

60
PAINT

Decent price with the price match considering most aus retailers have it at well over $2000. JW seemed to reduce the price on their website and ebay as a result of 10% discount. Even though I would have preferred supporting local business forcing office works to bring the price down from $2197.00 to $1775.55 was just to hard to resist. Very nice specs for a 2 in 1 and has reviewed very well.

I would suggest anyone interested in these to have a look on the HP website hp.com.au/employeerewards
After cashrewards cash back and the visa card bonus I believe the deals are a little better.

OP: This is $1682.1 on JW's eBay shop with the code PAINT and you can use cashback as well.

    • Yesterday when I was trying to put the code through it didn't allow me to, might have been through an error of my own though I guess. Ah well hope people get the extra saving through jw.

      • I'll be claiming back TRS at least so I'll at least get the extra savings I would have got through JW

        • What does it matter?

Just saw this comment - thank you for the clarification scrimshaw.

      • Yeah I got to the add to cart page on eBay and couldn't see the option to enter the code :( didn't realise needed to enter it in the checkout. Ah well, btw do you guys include the pen + usb to HDMI adapter & hp slip case? Someone has asked further down in the comments.

        • The active pen + adapter & case are all standard in the box - they definitely come with the laptop!

          Hope this helps!

  • Decent computer, my son has this mode, great battery life and screen. Bargained down to $1650 at JB as was buying two MBAs at the same time.

  • Hi Nenadb, this laptop comes down to $1682.10 from our regular price on eBay with the current 10% off code on ebay "PAINT". You can also save a bit more by using CashRewards as well.

    Regardless, I hope you're enjoying the machine - it's a solid laptop.

  • How does this compare to surface book besides being cheaper

  • I've got the tip spec of this (non 4k screen) and while it looks great and has a good battery life it's not as good as my previous laptop, which was the Dell XPS 13. Plus the HP customer services teams are horrendous. The worst I've ever dealt with. I'll be going back to Dell next.

    • Both solid laptops. I also own both the XPS13 9350 (top spec/1800p) and the HP spec x360 (top spec/1080p).

XPS13 hands down has the BEST touch pad I've ever used, extremely smooth. I also prefer the keyboard as well, has a nicer feel to it.

I use the x360 for every day work now, and prefer to have the home/pg up/pg dn/end keys on the side, rather then having to use fn+'arrow key' to activate them. The 360flip is also very convenient for work. Most noticeable is when seated using the laptop on your lap, you can push the screen down further then normal laptops would allow.

However, the XPS13 is more compact due to the reduced bezel (infinity screen), one of the best screens around.

Overall, the x360 is cheaper then the dell for the same specs. IMO, these are the things you're paying extra for the Dell (flip or no flip)
      1. Better keyboard
      2. Better touch pad
      3. Better screen
      4. Smaller laptop (due to infinity edge screen)

Also, my XPS13 had coilwhine…. it was a massive pain and I ended up getting a full refund after 11months. My HP also had a small kind of 'whine', but it was resolved by HP tech support replacing the battery and motherboard. The HP tech support was actually pretty good from my experience. Organised someone to come out quick, and the dude even provided me his card to text him in a couple days after if the issue persists. Great experience so far.

I bought my HP using the corporate discount. You can look it up here on OzB.

  • Does the 'active pen' in the eBay photos come with the laptop, or do we need to purchase it separately? I know Officeworks has included the pen in their $2197 listing, but that price is significantly higher than yours.

    • Yeah I'm not sure JW might be able to answer that one but I can confirm with officeworks pen and usb to HDMI adapter was included and also a hp leather case for the $1775.

    • Hi ani p: The active pen + adapter & case are all standard in the box - they definitely come with the laptop!

      Hope this helps!

  • I have the HP Spectre X360 and must say its awesome so far. I wondered about the XPS13 for a long-time but thought it was starting to be a bit dated (plus there is the coil whine issue). Eventually pulled the trigger on the HP. It has full laptop functionality but very light so the 2:1 flip functionality actually works really really well. The build quality is great, great battery life, looks and feels more expensive, doesn't make much noise even under full load and does not heat up+++ when on your lap.

Overall, really good value. I would highly recommend it if anyone is considering.
