      Depends how often you use it. My vitamix gets used a couple of times a day, everyday, over the past 12 years and still going strong. Blends things much better than the $99 clone I have for when I am on the road. Look at the sticker price of ferrari, now that's an ouch. People will pay a premium for a premium product - and these are lovely.
