    • They are higher than superfi 5 ,but it's hard to compare with 5 pro because they have different sound signature, for me i will take ue 700 over 5 pro a bit

  • They isolate outside noise, but how loud are these? Like would my room-mate easily hear them, just like open headphones?

    • +1

It isolates noise by using the ear tip to tightly seal the noise. So it’s much better than the open headphone, but there is still some leak to the outside so your roommate can still very little, at about 2/3 of max level in super quiet environment, 1 metre away. And you can also hear some sound coming in, buses and train etc. But I think it’s a good thing for me because I use it to commute on public transport, you don’t want to be completely isolated from the outside world, but it blocks off a LOT of sound – you’ll hear only very little of the bus engine, train, horn etc (note, I’m referring to the comply foam tip not the crappy plastic tip that also come in the box). Now I also use them inside the office instead of the Sennheiser 212 Pro as it blocks all the office chatters noise completely but sounds a lot better. :)

I’d say if you can spare $109, get one, you won’t regret it. Note, these things are still selling for like $300 in some rip off places so it’s not a cheap range at this cheap price, just a great bargain.

      • +1 :)

      • The outside noise is not my concern, my concern is just how much do they leak.

        • -1

If you need it to be completely leak free then I think you might have to buy the closed headphone. Or turn the volumn to less than half, I actually tested this when I got mine, it's not a bad leak really, very little.

          • +1

@KiwiRoo: I would think IEMs with their tiny drivers would leak a lot less than headphones with large diaphragms.

        • IEMs don't leak. I'd guess this would have pretty good isolation from outside noises as it can go in deep because it has a small housing.

Closed headphones have far more potential to leak than iems.

          • @Trysaeder: The leak is due to the seal around the ear tip. Unless you have one of those earphone that sticks right inside your ear canal which the UE700 is not (that deep), then there will be leakage.

Yes the close headphone will still leak the sound but not if you got one of those which are tightly sealed around your ear then the leak is less.

  • Will a pair of higher quality earphones actually make a difference to a (2nd generation) ipod shuffle?

I've been considering getting myself a pair of good earphones for a while now, have always used a cheap pair of in-earphones (not the stock Apple ones, but cheap none-the-less), but wonder if it's worth getting something good considering it's just for my shuffle?

    • +1

yes. the weakest link in almost all audio systems are the speakers/earphones, including the shuffle. upgrading from oem apple earbuds to these will make a very obvious difference.

    • you shouldn't look for an MP3 player with good SQ until you have decent headphones (what I'm saying here is don't worry much about the player, the headphones will still have a massive difference). these are worth getting, I have a lower end model and the sound excellent to my ears (Coming from OEM and Koss low range).

    • Thanks for the responses, might just have to get me a pair of these :)

  • Just remember that high quality earphones will show up any deficiency in the listening source. Since going to Super.fi5 EBs I listen to nothing less than 256kbs variable bit rate MP3. Even the difference between 192 and 256kbs is noticable.

So don't forget the quality of the music source. :)

  • Get triple drivers, it changes the way you listen to your music..UE TF10's, Sennheiser's IE8, umx3, shure 535's just to list a few

    • wait till you try 4 drivers. ;)

      • Wait until you try the JH16 Pro..
        It's got 8 drivers!!

        • sigh.. it's starting to look like a pissing competition. Hopefully this doesn't mark the start of another megapixel-style war, where more drivers doesn't necessarily mean better sound!

  • out of stock :-(

  • last lot added

    • i remembered you said they will be all shipped out this week right?
anyway thanks for good deal im so happy was eyeing on this and triplefi for long time :)
will you make a good deal for triplefi next time???

    • Sorry but this item is currently unavailable. ?

  • -1

less than 5 from what i can see . and we are sold out

    • I thought u said you just added another 500. That was fast!! Anymore coming bc?

  • how is the Triple FI 5vi compared to U700?

  • oh well that teaches me for umming and ahhing for so long.
Guess my decision is made for me.

  • Looks like more stock has been put up again. Tempted to buy a 2nd pair for the misses.

    • I just noticed.
Now im umming and aahing again.

  • -1

No stock has been added these are stocks appearing from canceled orders that dont meet T and C for example we just canceled 11 orders to Indonesia etc

  • -2

so if you see one and you want it , grab it kwick

  • ok I just ordered.
Yay for cancelled orders, nay for my wallet lol.

    • Aww I thought you were going to miss out while umming and ahhing again lol.

      • haha, that was the main reason I decided to bite the bullet.
If it wasn't for the urgency i'd have waited for people to receive theirs and start reporting in on what they think.

  • Also, does anyone else think it'd be good if manufacturers made earphones with short cords again? say 30-60cm in length + extension cord? They were quite proliftic (especially from sony) during the era when remotes were common.

I'd happily pay extra for the option, reason being i usually keep my ipod in my breast or jacket pocket and the 1.2m (or god forbid 1.8m) cables that earphones come with just results in too much slack.

Its even worse when im wearing an armband.

    • Look for earphones that have modular cable systems, but they're rare, especially in the sub $200 category.

  • +2

got mine today .very impressive, fast shipping.thanks bargaincrypt

  • Just started using it, first impression is that much more details can be discovered in the music, however it lacks some bass. Maybe it's just for now.

    • Play around with the different ear bud sizes and make sure they are in your ear canal far enough. A near perfect seal is required to achieve bass on these. Works for me anyway.

  • Hi bargaincrypt i ordered one on 18 oct..however the order status stated awaiting fulfilment meaning there is no more stock? and i paid using paypal? could u help me check if its still available? and when will i receive it? order number #113923

    • Mine is 113927, 4 after yours and its the same status. so there are more then one in your boat.

      • -1

all the rest of ue's will all be fully shipped in the next 48 hours . Status should show awaiting shipment . but system glitched , it will go straight to shipped

        • Thanks for the reply and shipping my UE700s but when I received it just now I was very disappointed.

Have a look at the image below yourself and other buyers.. who sends a pair of earphones like this with no protection packaging.

I've bought a lot of things online and plenty of them are shipped like that. Your mailman must have had a bad day.

        • I'd take it up with AusPost, don't they have like a $100 protection cover or something for eParcels? or was that for registered post only?

        • I thought they used fastway for shipping? Or was that only for Sydney?
The 220vi I got with fastway were fine.

Maybe as a compromise they should use more packaging when using Auspost and less with fastway couriers?

  • @ bargaincrypt

will you guys be getting more of these?

  • -1

We are working on it guys

  • -1

Just return it for a replacement . that is 100% post fault , no protection wouldve prevented that type of damage

    • Uh posting it in a cardboard box with plenty of airbags/foam, would do the trick to protect it.
If that came in a satchel like all the previous orders I made with logitechshop, I'm not surprised.

      • +1

Added labour and packing material = higher costs = higher prices.

        • Just saying.
He said no protection would've prevented that type of damage. Unless it was packed under a TV or something really heavy in the delivery van, there are ways to prevent that sort of damage.

  • Guys , we take this issue seriously , and we have spoken to carrier about it , also we will pack in box then in satchel to prevent anything like this happening , i must say , out of 1500 roughly of u700 only a couple , got there bad so its not too bad , but still not acceptable

  • BC, just wondering will you be getting anymore in?
desparately looking for a new set of headphones.

  • Warning about logitechshop.com.au

bought a mouse from them 10 weeks ago, after 2 weeks, it didnt work properly anymore. I had to waste 10$ mailing it back to them, with no compensation, and now after 2 months, i still havent received a replacement.

everytime i contact them they said they will check, or that it is coming soon. but honestly, how long does it take to mail a replacement?

any guesses on whether they actually have stock?

    • Submit a contact from the option and someone will contact you .

Update :Just checked , item was sent , and now waiting for us to collect from carrier . attempted delivery . failed .
Anyhow , i have asked for a grant of refund , and you have been approved .
your money has been refunded .

      • +2

Mate, I sent something like 4 messages and each reply was unhelpful:

        6th Oct 2010 @ 10:01 AM
Your return is being processed , your replacement will shipped out to you shortly
        (shortly? no)

        17th Oct 2010 @ 5:35 AM
        Hi Sir ,

Yes we do have the mouse in stock , it will be dispatched this week , as with all orders 10 working days will apply to all processing and dispatch including RMA
        (Despatched this week?)

        28th Oct 2010 @ 2:21 PM
we'll check and get back to you. Thankyou.
(did not get back to me)

Even if your courier had problems with delivery (which I find strange given my business address accepts deliveries everyday, so i suspect its either a problem with your courier or the address you wrote down), it should not have taken more than a month to tell me that from receiving my mouse. If I had not messaged so frequently, when was I going to hear from you? If I didn't comment on ozbargain, when was I going to get a helpful reply?

Not only have I not had a working mouse despite buying it 10 weeks ago, I have also lost $10 because you insisted I waste money posting you back a broken mouse complete with heavy packaging. Thanks. If you don't have a working mouse to send back to me at least pay for my shipping.

  • I'm going to make this a simple answer. I'm helping and I took the matter and solved it personally so really has nothing to do with the earlier correspondence. Now I would say this. All your msgs were account msgs. And are handled by sales staff that just inquire with others in rma. No email to warranty that I can see. Anyhow delivery was attempted. And you would've resent after we received it back. Once again we apologize for any inconvenience

caused. Sometimes carriers etc other factors play a role in certain cases. I have done my best for you as promised and you have been refunded.
    Bc

  • For any further inquiries contact me bc@

  • Hi bargaincrypt, was wondering if you guys be getting anymore UE 700s? or has anyone cancelled their order?
ive sent emails via your website contact page and no one has gotten back to me.
    Thanks heaps

  • I ordered 2 of these and paid on 17th October … my order was updated as 'shipped' on the 22nd October … I still haven't received these … can you please follow this up Bargaincrypt
    (order number: #113766)

Also, I purchased 2 logitech anytime speakers earlier in the year … one of the remotes has never worked - can anything be done about this?
