Buy 4 BF Goodrich Tyres (265 70 17) Delivered @ Fuel Autotek eBay - $1,040.40

So I've been shopping around for tyres for a while now - As a 4x4 owner you will know well truly that tyre prices are just ridiculous, especially for the well known/popular brands. While I personally cannot buy tyres for another 3 months at least (spewing) this is probably the best deal that I have come across on this brand. This tyre size 265/70/17 would fit most standard 4x4 vehicles (Hilux's, Prados, Landcruisers, Navaras, Patrols) with 17inch wheels and no lift kit.

I have rarely seen the prices for this below the $329 per tyre mark on EBay and these are typically even higher in stores - up to $400. In it's own right the price is very decent without the swag.

These are currently selling for $289 per tyres + 10% EBay deal + 1.3% Cash rewards = $1,025 for a set of 4 BF Goodrich all terrain tyres in 265/70/17 - WITH A FREE SWAG.

  • Update: Further research shows that there are certain dealers to which this applies. Either way, if the swag is not received the price of $1,025 is quite competitive to begin with (with current eBay promotion). There are some eBay dealers selling at $299 a tyre that may be registered on the swag promotion page also.

Will these fit on my Goggomobil?

    Not the Dart though.

They always think it's the Dart.

Let's be honest, buy 3 get the 4th free is a way more enticing deal.

    • Yup…Ill need the swag to sleep outside after paying so much for tires

  • So can we buy through ebay stores or not? $289 for LT KO2's is quite good, especially in that size. With the promise of a free swag, I might decide now is the time to upgrade from my Hankooks (still going strong after 90,000km).

    • You will not get a free swag with purchases on eBay unfortunately.

Yes I realised after and updated in comments. IMHO the campaign is not worth it as it is one or the other. Would much rather purchase the tyres via ebay using the discount which in its own right is a great price.

All the campaign partners will do is compensate for the swag in their price - for example JAX tyres alreasy have prices in the mid $300's versus 289 on ebay minus 10%.

I would go ebay deal - "for future readers"

        • 100% Agree, much better price on eBay - could i recommend you please remove the free swag in the title so we are not misleading anyone here?

$289 for LT265/70R17 is a great price if you get it fitted. Bugger the swag at that price. You can also negotiate hard on the Hankook ATMs, probably get them down to mid-200s - these are very good, the BFGs ain't that much better…

    • Agree, after further research I thought stuff the swag - you'll pay 350 a tyre anyway at participating partners. Just go 289-10%-1.3% - much better … That same ebay seller had these up a while back and had options for pickup and and fitting in the ebay price.

    • I have the Hankook at's and can't fault them

    • Yeah, the KO2s are much better than Hankooks. $289 is a great price, but you've got to pay to have them fitted & balanced. There's a business near me that runs a 4x4 fleet and they get new Bridgestone 697s swapped out for KO2s. The Bridgestones have less than 100km on them and the tyre bloke then sells them on. Maybe this mob are doing something similar?

      • Where is this business and what's their name? I had 697LT's on my wife's last car and they were phenomenal. I don't need any yet, but have started looking for tyres for the new car when they wear out.

OMG!! $1,040! Yet another reason not to be a 'Yummy Mummy' driving a 4WD

    • What's your point? This price is hardly any higher than a decent passenger car 18" tyre (generally 700-800 for 4).

      • My point was that that is a lot of money for 4 tyres. Why the anger?

        • Because your post seemed to suggest that only people with 4WDs pay that kind of money for tyres. And not all 4WDs use such expensive tyres either.

    • I can't comment on these tyres, but we had a set of similar ones on my wife's old car that we paid $1350 for 5. We drove them for 55kkm, and had about 50% tread still on them when we sold the car. I'm not sure many passenger car tyres would last half that distance, not to mention a good Light-Truck tyre will be far more reliable/durable for long distance driving in the middle of nowhere
