Someone call the doctors, Gerry must not be well…

  • Does anyone recommend this fridge/brand?

    Might pull out the wallet.

I bought one of these earlier this year. Works fine, makes food cold.

Can confirm, mine also makes liquids cold.

Can it turn liquids to solids? If so, sold!!

    • there are plenty of reviews on the HN website.

Haier is one of the best Chinese fridge brand, also owns Casarte, GE appliance, Fisher & Paykel.

Tata owns Range Rover, Land Rover, and Jaguar. That doesn't mean a Tata Nexon is comparable to e.g. a Range Rover Evoque though.

          Tatas are always good

    • Haier is the best brand in China in fridge industry.

I have a big stainless steel double door with ice maker from them - it was the cheapest with icemaker but the quality was pretty decent (Bought it for half the price of a westinghouse figuring if it lasts 5 years and fails i can just buy another one). That said, I have had no problems with it at all and no indications of any troubles with it.

…just be mindful that this device is rather inefficient and needs typically 337kWH/year (refer: https://homeclearance.com.au/p/haier-hrf224fw-224l-top-mount…). there are alternatives out there that use less than 200kWH/year. Assuming an alternative device uses 150kWK less power and cost of $0.25/kWH this translates to $37.5 savings per year. Assuming a lifespan of 10 years, that's $375 savings on current energy prices (which are likely to rise…).

So it might be worth investing a bit more money and get something more efficient (and probably also quieter/nicer)

  • Is there a warranty or something with these?

  • Meh….just bought the 422L model. I need a cheap one for the shed. Hopefully it lasts more than a couple of years.

mine one failed in one year, get someone to fix it and very soon failed again.
    and warranty expired. so ….

    won't consider this brand anymore.

You had a warranty for 2 years champion.

"You receive a 2 year Manufacturer's Warranty with all Haier appliances. Fisher & Paykel Australia Pty Ltd will repair (or at its option replace) any part which is found to be defective within two years from date of purchase, without cost to you for either parts or labour."
