Try updating your graphics driver. I think I had this problem on my other computer before (which was dual monitoring) and I fixed it with a graphics update.
Same issue for me. Black border and blurry text when connected via HDMI!!!!!
Video driver is up to date.
oh, i had this issue with my acer, its just in the settings (of the screen). Make sure the output of the laptop is 1080p (by right clicking desktop and selecting screen properties)
I'm using a Dell Zino HD desktop. In screen properties, there is no option to select '1080p' output …..
Try switching from HDMI 2 to HDMI 1 whatever the hell that means lol.

Click the catalyst control center icon in your taskbar so it will open the ccc welcome screen.
Now dont press basic or ok , just go to the left top of the CCC (catalyst control center)screen and click on Graphics.
A slider will open , now click on desktop and displays.
a new screen will open which has a small LCD icon in the left bottom corner.
Right click the icon and choose “configure”.
Now your in the Hdmi option screen and you can choose the “scaling options”
Set overscan to 0 and it’s all full screen hdmi again :)
Strange Ati did not set it to 0 standard.

I rang DELL this arvo (Thur) at 14:30, and left a message with the receptionist foe Elizabeth.
Elizabeth called me back at 15:30, offered me the monitor at $199.00. I bought it over the phone using a credit card and I will get it next week.

Some seem to be luckier than others regarding delivery times, ordered mine Monday, got this disappointing message a minute ago.

Didn't think I was going to get it in quickly as some have, was told 8-12 days from order, not 8 weeks. They must think I want it as a Christmas present.

Hello, I was passed on your email from Julia. I believe our Estimator is not working properly, this happened a few months ago and our customers got a big shock to see 2 months estimated delivery time when in reality it was days. I am confident this is the case again, you should have yours in a matter of days rather than weeks. What do you mean? How to turn it off when your laptop/desktop is off?
Just switch the monitor off by touching the on/off button on lower right hand corner.
Just received the monitor and while I'm happy with it, I have a few problems!
On the 1920 x 1080 setting the screen doesn't fill out. There are black borders around the image.. how can this be fixed?
Text appears to be blurry..?
Any help would be appreciated :)
