Tried it on today at the kathmandu store. I am a slim guy, XS was not a tight fit, but a good fit. non the less. I would say if you are S in shirt get XS and if you are a M in shirt get S

When Kathmandu do their 50% off sale (which is probably the only time you should buy anything from them) then its for all colours usually.
Unless you're desperate to have the jacket now, like the above comment, it has been quite a bit cheaper than this before.

Useless to keep you warm. No better than an overshirt as a comparison. I bought it last winter on sale and then returned it for a heavier jacket.

Lol, the more pertinent question would be how many days of the year do Kathmandu not have at least 40% off? That is their business model. So this is just normal price.
