  • How do you attach a table top to it? Just screw in? Great find OP, I'm going to go home and check the size of my desk to see if this will be an appropriate size.
edit - I think my desk at home is 150cm. Could I just attach a larger table top to the base?

    • I picked up one of these from a different seller a few months back. Mine came with pre-drilled holes and you just need to screw it in. Off the top of my head, there was only physical weight limit that would technically limit you.

Check Ikea electric One -Expensive but comes with 10 Year Warranty - http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/S39222552/#/S3922… . You have choice of colors too.

Their dual monitor stand looks alright for under $50 too

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dual-HD-LED-Desk-Mount-Monitor-St…

    • identical to the Aldi one I have and am very happy with

    • I was considering theirs, but ended up getting this as it has a higher weight limit for my 2x U2711

  • I still use Tsearch occasionally. Might there be an update on the horizon please?

    • +1

Can do. I'll add that to my to-do list.
I have already changed some things on a local copy, so I'll start with that.

Is there anything in particular you want to see in it?

      • Newfrog usually comes up as 404 Page Not Found, so perhaps replace that?

  • Anyone brought anything from this company or the electric table? Seem theres a few people putting negative review on ebay due to poor quality. Also some of the positive review on this company looks dodge or repetitive.

Where would they bring it to?

    • Link to reviews? please.

Minimum height: 74.9cm is way too high

    • I tend to agree. I just checked my current desk and it's 72.5cm. I would not want it any higher than that.

    • A google search reveals Australian standard AS3990.2:1990
      680-720mm for fixed height workstations
      580-730mm for adjustable workstations

I'll try removing the feet & maybe put some felt on the bottom instead. Or I could add a keyboard tray or lower-tier shelf.
I intend to stand most of the time with it anyway.

When I get it, I'll see if there's a way to trim 100mm off the legs, I'll only need max to be 111cm or so anyway. It's $100+ cheaper than the next options I've seen, so I can tinker for a few hours and still come out in front :)

Other options would be to raise the floor, have a foot step, modify the table top by cutting channels or dig the table legs into the ground.

The only cheap one I see on eBay that goes lower is $445.55 for 150x75cm or $350.55 for base only which has 3-stage legs and goes 63-125 cm, 38mm/s.

      • Your link is broken, I took out the ozbargain bits at the front and it works. That one unfortunately doesn't appear to work with any codes. Thanks for checking though.

        • I noticed that with the links, but couldn't edit (the button disappears after a short time or if someone replies).
Looks like those would work for me with PINCH5 for 5%… unless you've already used all 3?

        • @tsimop: Didn't try that one. I'll have a look. Why do you think there is such a colossal difference in listed price between both?

Does anyone have a standing desk?
How are the features with these compared to others?
Been looking at the one from officeworks, looks ok

I bought the manual sit stand from IKEA for about $249 and love it. Was going to buy the OW electric one but, as it was my first sit stand desk, couldn't justify the price - that and the fact the OW didn't go as high (I'm 6'5 so not high enough).
The Ikea one os sturdy as a rock. Put a small shelf on it to hold my monitor and works a treat (shelf and feet bought from Ikea too).

I forked out a little more and purchased one from www.updowndesk.com.au very happy with it

    • I use one at work. Of an eight-hour shift, I'll spend 3-4 hours standing, and I get up as often as I can when I'm sitting to talk to people or whatever rather than making phone calls or sending emails. It really makes a difference - at the end of the day I'm less tired and I don't get as much lower back stiffness.

  • Did anyone end up buying one of the sit/stand desks from the last sale? If so, what are your thoughts on the product? It looks it is on sale again, however the one year warranty is a little disconcerting.

    • I ended up cancelling my original order and bought this one for $350. Table legs are white. I got a table top from hard rubbish. Quite happy with it.
