BLUE is a film about how the oceans are broken. Half of all marine life has been lost in the last 40 years. And by 2050 there will be more plastic in the sea than fish. Featuring passionate advocates for ocean preservation, the film tackles themes of habitat destruction, species loss and pollution. Filmed in the seas surrounding Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines and the USA, BLUE looks at how the very nature of the ocean is being altered.
Official Selection: Sydney Film Festival 2017, Melbourne International Film Festival 2017, Brisbane International Film Festival 2017, NZ International Film Festival 2017 Screening: Monday, August 28 3:15 pm at Palace Centro Cinema 39 James Street, Fortitude Valley 4006, with intro by Director Karina Holden and Ocean Guardian Madison Stewart.
