Samsung Gear S2 Classic $259 Delivered @ Samsung Store Online

100

I noticed the price of the Gear S2 Classic has dropped down to $259 on the Samsung website which seems like a good price for local stock considering the normal RRP was $598. The price drop might be in anticipation of a new watch being announced next week. As a comparison it's $269 at Kogan/Dick Smith but I'm not sure if they are local stock or grey imports.

  • Good find - just a dumb question ? I use iphone - would it be good to use this Gear S2 with my iphone ? worried abt sync issues and connectivity between iOS and Android …

    • I don't have the watch nor an iPhone myself so can't really say what it's like. The watch runs on Tizen however I dare say it'd probably work better with Android devices than IOS.

      • thanks mate - agree with you..

    • I use this watch with the iPhone 6s+. Now the Gear S app has been made and is available for IOS it does work well.
Connectivity reliability, notifications all work and you can still download limited apps for the watch through the app as well.

I have had this watch for 2yrs now and was using it with a Galaxy Note 4. When i moved to IOS i had to use a non release version of the Gear S app to make it work. This worked very well until Samsung released the proper Gear S app. At 1st the app was buggy and so i went back to the non release edition for a few months. Confident in saying the proper Samsung Gear S app is now working fine :)

    • Yeah that's what I'm waiting for. I'm hoping it's a similar size to the S2 as the S3 looks massive on my small wrists.
