I just picked up the latest Big W catalogue and it has a Nintendo Switch Bundle deal on offer.

$499 - Nintendo Switch Console (grey or neon) plus one game from either:

  • Mario Kart 8
  • Splatoon 2
  • Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (which doesn't come out until the 29th Aug)

Bundle is on sale from Thursday 24th August until Wednesday 6th September.

Console on BigW website is currently listed at $469, above games are $69, so saving of $39 with this deal.

I can't find many others doing bundle deals at the moment. Catalogue isn't on their website yet either. First post, hopefully this is the right way to do it!

    Getting Rabbids, but also thinking of getting the pro controller (my second one)… but perhaps I should wait for an eBay sale on that one.
    Also, would be keen to see the next page (PS4 stuff)… as I'm keen on a PS4 deal (slim or Pro)!

    Man I wonder how long until I crack and pick up a Switch. My amount of time spent gaming these years really wouldn't justify a second console, but the Switch just seems like it fills a void that I never knew existed. Splatoon sounds raucous

      If you plan on getting a switch and Splatoon, make sure to get a pro controller. I got a switch day 1, and have used the pro controller with everything. It's extremely comfortable for Mario Kart and Zelda, but where it really shines is Splatoon. Compared to the Joycons, it is SO much easier to use!

          It all comes down to personal preference really, personally, I can't play without it, and I've heard a lot of others say the same. Other people might not care.

          I agree. I couldn't get the hang of the controls for Splatoon 2 even though I played Splatoon 1 which I was fine with. Bought the Pro controller and it's so much better! I can't play Splatoon without it but for other games I'm fine with just the joy-cons.

      I have an XB1 but pretty much only play the switch. I never thought I'd ise it on the go but I use it just as much as I do docked. Good fun.

        I have a PS4 Pro, Xbone S and a Switch. I've played maybe 5 hours PS4, 300 hours Switch and only used the Xbone for Plex since the Switch launched.

        I have an XB1 and the Switch, but pretty much only play Dota 2 on PC because I'm an addict :(

        The Switch is great to play when friends are over, but it doesn't take long to play through the current lineup of split-screen multiplayer games. They really need to release a new Mario Party!

      I don't recall the Splatoon bundle being discounted or as low as this, plus using e-gift card gives a further 5%, hence unlikely to be different with Mario.
      The only time I've seen lower priced bundles is ebay Kogan deals (which you only have minutes to score it) and the occasional Target 15% off ebay.

    Caved in and bought one today. I swore I wouldn't get it as I don't game much these days, but tried mario kart on a friend's console and I just had to get it.
