  The battery type stated is an AA 500mah rechargeable . I wonder we could change it to 1800mah Enloop?!?! lol

    Pretty sure its Li-ion rechargeable. The AA was reference to the size or weight from memory.

  Mine had arrived today. It is indeed the 2017 version. I love it as there is no flickering at low lumen, unlike the tube version.
