It's compatible to drones like the DJI Phantom 3, camera is good and it's stable in flight and when landing, to me the only big problem with the Q500 is real world range of about 300m max, I found the Phantom 3 Standard had a clear signal and could get out to 400m +, I have Phantom 4 now and I have personally gotten it out to 3700m before losing signal.
How do you test it to so far without the worry of losing it?
The Phantom 4 will fly back when signal is lost :)
I’ve got over 4km from base with my Magic Pro.
Just to test it, is never need that real world distance. Although some might.
However just in normal flight I find myself around 1000-1500m away from receiver.
Deal taken off!
"The page you were after lived a good and happy life, but now it is no longer with us"
Like the gymbal, dislike the drone size .
Damn.. Gone already..
I bought this last time.
What an absolutely amazing deal. For $600 nothing comes close.
After spending what seems to be a fortune on RC this was the first drone I can safely say is suitable for adult and child use alike.
I gave the remote to my wife who has never rc'd anything in her life and she was taking breathtaking 4k footage in a matter of seconds.
Super stable, and super simple to fly.
Can't recommend enough.
Have you tried flying it on a very windy day? How was it? DJI spark manages to hold position. Even tells you that gusts of wind are strong.
You will have to do calibration before flying it. It's very stable in strong wind due to its weight and captures way better pictures than spark.
I too got this last time. Amazing Drone for the price.
Cameras and drones are getting smaller and smaller, when battery technology leaps, there is no need to buy these "giant" drones for entertainment or for making small commercial video work.
Agree however the bigger drone handle the bigger winds and unfortunately current battery require more lift
I'd say there is a huge space to improve the aerodynamics design of the current big or small drones. The wind drag will be reduced a lot with power-efficient electronics, light weight, durable compact battery and great aerodynamics.
I missed out last time and bought a Xiaomi Mi drone for $530 (after cashrewards) and it's pretty darn impressive. 4K video, 3 axis gimbal and you can fit it in a laptop bag due to the foldable legs. I'd recommend it for anyone who missed out on this.
Where did u get xiaomi drone 4k from in that price?
Gearbest , banggood and tomtop are selling them under $600
TopTop had it for $452 USD and cashrewards got me $40 back.
but does it have follow me?
No. I'm also looking at the Xiaomi.
Cheers OP great find missed out last time but managed to pick one up this morning :)
For anyone else after one keep an eye on the link seems to come back in stock from time to time.

last batch , ,ex display ..
G O N E !
It lasted 2 days, it seems they got rid of the last ex-display (2 to 10?) I assume the combo (package) includes the SteadyGrip (handheld)?
How does this compare to mainstream drones like the DJI series?
