Note: This promotion is different to the current "refer a friend" promotion. This promotion can be used by existing users as it qualifies as part of an incentive programme.

Booking.com will only recognize one Eligible Reservation per Participant per campaign to count for an Incentive Bonus. Participants may only receive Incentive Bonuses from a maximum of 3 different campaigns per year, including Refer-a-Friend campaigns.

A friend sent me this link and I've tested it and received the cashback after my stay. It's quite a good deal for cheaper hotels (especially those in South East Asia). You spend $50+ USD or more and receive $25 USD back into your credit card after your stay.

Book now and get US$25 back!

All you have to do is book and you'll get US$25 back after your stay! Minimum booking cost US$50.

To maximise your savings/benefits if you have not signed up yet with booking.com
1. Signup using a referral link and receive cash back after your stay.
2. Utilise incentive programmes such as the one above.

Yes, you technically can split your stay (e.g. if it was 2 night stay) and sign-up for one stay with the referral link, then another stay through the incentive programme link.

  • Pay out to the cash back is unsure

posted this a couple of weeks back and think its a better deal.

Of course if you're spend $100 AUD+ but if you're spending less than $100 AUD this deal only requires a spend of ~$64 AUD. Like i mentioned "It's quite a good deal for cheaper hotels (especially those in South East Asia)."

  • It took about a week but I received mine.. I was surprised to see it because honestly I wasn't expecting anything

    • I believe the conditions state that you need to have a card saved on your profile on the site for it to work..

      • Yes, that's correct! Then on your account you need to select the card you want the rewards to be paid into!

  • Fair comment au-user.

  • The refer a friend campaign can be used by existing users. I have done it. Better to book through referral system.

  • This is probaly dodgy. The other promotion $40 USD cash back with $80+ USD booking. I made a booking, saw cash back info banner on landing page. I saw reward record in free money page in customer area. A week later the record disappeared. I sent email to inquire early this week but get no response till now. The booking is pay at hotel, not instant credit card payment. I don't know if it makes a difference. All hotels at same price range in the area have only pay at hotel option.

    • I think that if u have to save credit card to your a/c then u have to also pay with credit card.

I discovered this from recent bookings : how to confirm a cashback offer applies to the booking :

    1. In the booking confirmation email, after the room and price details:

      My reward
      You’ll receive € 75 after you’ve completed your stay.

Amount varies as per the specific offer.

    2. (Optional) An email with Subject: "Have a great trip! Your € 75 reward will be waiting for you…"

    3. (Optional) In Earn Money area:

      Friend>Booking>Status
You>20 Sept 2017>€ 75 coming up! You'll get your reward after your stay is confirmed.

2 and 3 are optional, in the sense that one person might get the info, but not another, despite using the same offer.

Haven't actually stayed or gotten the cashback yet, but at least there is written evidence that the cashback is supposed to apply.

    • Do you still see (3) in your account? I got all three immediately after booking. The reward record in (3) disappeared a few days later. Sending email to confirm about reward on Monday but do not hear back yet. I wait some more time and probably cancel the booking then rebook with other booking site with a guaranteed upfront discount even though lower discount amount.

      • Not all 3, from the beginning, one of us got 1 and 2, and the other, 1 and 3, even though we both used the same offer. Others have reported successfully getting the cashback from these deals, so I will give it a go. At the minimum, there is the booking confirmation email, which clearly states the cashback. Will keep this safe, in case it is needed as evidence later. But can understand your apprehension.

        • I had two showing in the Earn Money area (diff promos) that have now disappeared too

        • @shik85: I just checked, and mine has disappeared too. I guess the email confirmation is the only proof about the cashback.

          @bluesky:

Checked out of a hotel on Wednesday and got an email on Thursday saying "Just to let you know, we've started processing your € 75 cash reward. This normally takes 2 to 10 working days."

So looks like it will be all good… Checked out of a hotel for the other offer today so will see if the next email comes through.

      • Hi kctt, have you heard back from booking.com regarding why the record disappeared? I have the same thing happened now, would like to know if they have provided you an answer. Thanks in advance.

        • I received reply from booking support. The guy says "As of now you are eligible for the reward incentive" and there will be some link to claim reward after stay. It does not seem like he knows about the reward, probably just a reply to shut people up and stop people from cancelling. Do not bother to follow up.

I dont mean to be rude, but as ozbargin people if you cant get 50%-70% off on hotel rooms you are not trying!!! This does not seem a bargain to me at all, whom does not get 50% off unless last minute:)

    • This is definitely a bargain.

It's not easy to actually get 50-70% off a hotel room. Doesn't matter what the 'RRP' is, what matters is the price its usually at.

If hotel says you are saving 50%, you are not actually saving 50%, every hotel has a BS strike through price

Using cashback such as this is 'actually' saving 50%, especially on hotels that don't accept coupon codes.

  • Will this stack with cashrewards? Also, has anyone successfully price matched with booking.com? I find prices on cheaptickets much more competitive.

  • Don't forget to use the random referral link to help yourself and your fellow OZB'ers
Thanks to whoever randomly got mine. $30 each! Yee Haa!!

  • What if you refer yourself from your own account and start a 2nd account? think they will catch me?

    • Is it worth the risk?

I've already booked a stay that costs $800 last night before I saw this deal but how come I got no information regarding this cashback? Might need to cancel and re-book with both this promo and the referral promo…
Link leads me to home page, help?
