Hello All,

I hope you are well. I was having a few conversations with the team here - and just noted how much I needed to reconnect with the Ozbargain community. I honestly tried to pull some strings to see what I could get for you. THIS IS THE BEST DEAL I can get for you. Truthfully - honestly. And… it's only allowed to run until Midnight tonight. YOU WILL NOT find this deal elsewhere - it is purely for Ozbargainers only.

I appreciate a lot of you PM'ing me over the months to get something online - this is for YOU!

All the best
Jack Hawks

That's a fair call. We have really good prices for contact lenses online. Some of the best. We always have running promotions for customers, and from time to time - I try and pull something out for the ozb community. But I can't decide on the timing. Thanks for trusting us with your business. It's appreciated.

Health fund limit reset. 10 boxes of contacts coming up. Hope they don't "expire" for a long time.

    • You should expect a very reasonable expiry date on contact lenses.

  • +1

I've been watching your deal like a Hawk, Mr Jack Hawks.

    • +2

      Your hawking has paid off.

  • I was seriously just asking my wife if she needed more contacts last night. The universe listened! Bloody creep.

    • +1

Specsavers are launching into the audiology business - you took the words right out of my mouth!

      • I see what you did there - cause I went to Specsavers.

  • Hawksy is back! Someone more articulate should pen a poem commemorating this occasion!

    • I dunno. Have a crack erd!

    • +4

pen a poem commemorating this occasion

      Here's a limerick for you:

      Hawksy is back,

      Time to have a crack,

      He's from Specsavers,

      Eyewear for all the ravers,

So you don't end up with a cataract.

      • my hat is off to you

      • +5

That is incredible. I'm penning a children's book for my two kids at the moment and can't make two words rythme to save my life. When it's finished I'll pop on here for a bargain!

  • Welcome welcome back and thank you Jack Hawks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • my pleasure eve.

  • Thank you so much Jackie! I remember paying $200 at iContact Optometrists for Acuvues that lasted 3 months. Just picked up 6 months for $189.60 =)

  • No Air Optix Aqua 6pack?

    • Let me check.

      • No 6 pack - but having a look around the traps - this deal makes sure it's the best priced Air Optix you'll get.

        • Thanks:)

        • Ahhh, no. Quicklens Air Optix Aqua $27.90 for 6 pack Your price $29.50 for 3 pack less 40%.

          https://www.specsavers.com.au/contact-lenses#f%5Bproduct%5D=…

          Do the math and score a fail .. :-( .. !!

          http://www.quicklens.com.au/goods/index/gc/CA2/

        • @cornucopia: Yeah, I just did the maths on this too. QuickLens works out cheaper by $20 even with the SpecSaver discount if you buy a 12-month supply. But you can't claim a refund through your private health care cover provider with QuickLens so YMMV.

        • +1

@Bob81: Use the Quicklens price to get a pricematch (-5% of the Quicklens price) with Clearly. Checkmate .. :-) .. !! Then claim on your insurance . Next ….

        • @cornucopia:
I read this on ozb a while back and can confirm this method pretty much always beats any other deal out there.

Though something to factor in is that with the Clearly price beat they seem to always take into account the $10 Quicklens shipping cost even if your order would have qualified for free shipping on Quicklens.

Unfortunately the brand of contacts I wear now (easyvision Uvicia) is only available from Specsavers so I can't use the pricematch anymore…

        • +1

          @Dadidalol:

easyvision Uvicia is apparently the same as CooperVision Avaira :)

        • @tonester:

Thanks. Yes you're right, except Avaira isn't stocked on Quicklens or Clearly either unfortunately….

  • Great deal, just placed order. Shame you don't sell Total ones, is this likely to change in future?

    • We'll look into that - of course.

  • is there an expiry on the code?

I need to do another eye test to check my degree

  • +1

    Thanks Jack much appreciated.

  • There's a lot to choose from. I only ever used contacts playing basketball in highschool many years ago. Anyone willing to give some insight and recommendations?

  • Got a code for Specsavers NZ? OZB40 doesn't work there.

    • +1

We do have another offer running in NZ at the moment, it's the 25% off when you spend $119 >> code: AUGSAVE25

  • Thank you Jack(ie) - I was just thinking about you last night!!! <3

    • +1

nightfever!? You just gave me cold sweats.

      • Hahahaha, it's that movie Saturday Night Fever!!

  • Perfect timing. Bought 6 months instead of 3. Thanks Jack!

    • Perfect.

  • Postage is 12 Business Days?

    Seems long.

    • Do you have an unusual script? ie a strong power? You have to understand - if your power isn't common - not much stock is kept on hand and therefore may need to come in from another source to always ensure we deliver!

      • Right. I was looking at Toric lenses.

        • Do you need them quickly? We do have an express delivery option that will speed things up slightly for those rarer powers.

        • @Jack Hawks: No was just wondering about the higher than avg postage times. But cheers for you explanation.

  • What would the expiry date be for most of the lenses? I have some that I bought in 2015 which are due to expire in 2018, so looking to stock up again!

    • There's no definitive answer here. Would suggest your experience from last time is what you can expect.

    • Last acuvue dailies I ordered were 2020 so plenty time based on my usage/lenses type

  • +1

Thanks mate just grabbed a year's supply of monthly ones. As a comparison it would cost me $720 through the optometrist. These were $180 for the same product.

    • $720!? That is incredible. It's surprising how few people actually buy online to save.

      • It's crazy…That was the first time I ever got them when I first started wearing contacts a few years ago. Since I just stock up with these deals as the prescription is always the same.

  • Can you buy the Dailies Total 1 online? - these are the ones the Specsavers optometrist gave me

    • My partner wears them so I often check, but I've never found any when these kinds of deals crop up.

  • +2

Thanks so much. I can replace the ones I've been wearing for 3 straight months now 😁

    • classic

  • dammm, i only ordered my 6 months of contacts couple of weeks ago…

    • I feel ya, I bought some yesterday…

      • +1

You must have long arms feeling from your helicopter..

  • Killer deal! Saved me $100, thanks Jack Hawks

  • Thank you Jack Hawks
