[PC] Steam - Football Manager 2017 - $12.59US (~$16.02 AUD) - Bundlestars

90
SUMMER10

Great reduction for this game as it is rarely reduced in price and if it is, the reduction is not much.
If you are into Football Manager games and are not too bothered about not having the latest up-to-date roster then this is a great opportunity to get this game relatively cheap.
Deal last another 11h 10 minutes from time of posting so if you want it grab it while you can (note: half of the available keys are gone and when Europe wakes up where this game is very popular the keys might go quickly - hence I suggest to buy now if you want instead of waiting until the last minute).

Enjoy.

  • Great game. I've got 1600+ hours logged on it. Amazing price for it, dropped probably to coincide with the start of the football season, as well as because FM18 will be coming out in a couple of months.

    • I think so too. But if you are like me and are not too bothered about Neymar now being in a different shirt, this is a cheap way to enjoy a great game. Maybe get a new FM every 5 years and that's good enough as the gameplay does not really change at all and the core gameplay has really been the same since the days of the C64 versions of similar games. ;-)

    u mean soccer?

    • Funnily enough, those terms apply to the same sport!

It is called football, even in Australia.

Soccer is an American expression (as they always need to have it their own way) but the last time I checked Australia's official language was British English, it had the Queen as its figurehead, and was part of the Commonwealth. And of course, as far as I know Australians do not take kindly to just being an extension of the US in any way, shape, or form.

      Hence, football it is. ;-)

What is the name of the Australian national soccer team which represents Australia in international men's soccer?

        • +1

So, just because some idiot gets it wrong and quite obviously you cannot call them footballeroos, it does not mean that the sport is not called football.
Quite obviously the nicknames have nothing to do with what the sport is called or would you care to elaborate on the name of the sport the Matildas compete in? Matildaball? Matildaroo?
Or which sport do the Kangaroos compete in? By your logic it must by Kangarooby or Kangarooball.
Also, the sport that the bulldogs play in would be called bulldog and where the dragons play would be dragon or dragoneroo.

Don't be silly. Accept that socceroo is a term the Yankees made up and that football is the original and correct term. In Australia, the term is just used wrongly. Just like people refer to the Netherlands as Holland all over the place which really is wrong. This would be akin to referring to Australia as Queensland or Western Australia and I am pretty sure the rest of Australia would object to that.
Why, as an Australian or at least someone living in Australia, are you so keen to follow the American lead and terminology and join in their ignorance? Or should I now watch out for many more calls on "alternative facts" and "alternative news" in Australia, too.

          @Lysander:
While I'm with you for most of your comments above, it's sadly not true that the Merkins invented the name soccer.
It originally came from the UK, and was in concurrent use with football but was fairly quickly, hopefully because it was such a rubbish name

        • @linnaen:

Irrelevant who invented the term - the correct term is football all over the world and that is it. Simple and straightforward.

  • Use the code SUMMER10 for an extra 10% off :)

Thanks Lysander! My dad loves these games.

    • Does the code work for the Stardeals, too?
Please let us know if it does.

      • It certainly did - brought it down to 12.59 USD.

        • Thank you. Added it to the deal.

  • For those Soccer Beautiful Game fanatics a new deal has been posted and is even cheaper.
