Cheap locksmith in Newcastle
Comments
I imagine OP would rather get back to his room tonight, than waiting 4 weeks for delivery from BangGood :)
We use Frost locksmiths. They are pretty good, but I don't think they will be cheap. I would avoid AJ Eddens, as I don't think they do lockouts and are more about supply…
This comment was 2 hours late, hope you got in ok. Let us know who you used. I would be curious.
No drill doll in key hole. Bigger and bigger and open door. Buy barrel replace cheaper
Oh no! Drill is in the house… need the key to get the drill, but need the drill to get the key!
Possible issue here is… rented apartment, damaging the cylinder, you may have to get the lock rekyed to the original key anyway or the landlord won't like it. ie: still need a locksmith.
Not everyone has the skill to just drill a cylinder and open a door. Takes a little more than just running a drill down the key way. (InB4: I've done it heaps of times… Great, well go and help OP, not everyone has used a drill before.)
Lock has anti-drill pins, then where do you drill? Lock is in a knobset, then where do you drill?
Restricted key profile. You drill the cylinder and can't replace the cylinder with the same because it's a restricted profile. (InB4: just get a guy in Chinatown to cut the key… He can't if it's restricted and doesn't have the blanks. And Bunnings doesn't stock a lot in the way of restricted profile cylinders…)
Source: I'm a locksmith and love turning up to jobs where the person has already had a go at trying to drill it themselves, turning a cheap job into an expensive one and still been unable to get in.
That a lot of fear monger locked out of room. But you locksmith too
Yeah…. fear mongering… riiiiiight…
I was just saying, it isn't as easy as just drilling the cylinder. But if that brings the fear of god into you, then so be it.
Used a wire no need for locksmith or a drill.
