  • I am curious what makes this one so much more expensive than previous models?

    • +2

Probably Turbostar in the name, giving the impression that it will cook faster and the cooked product will be awesome.

  • Wow, new model. I'm using the XL from the Harvey Norman deal and it's very good.
But that was ~$230 after Amex and cash backs.
The biggest improvement is the removable basket, but the non-removable ones are still easy to clean.

  • Any thoughts on why some people love these and other people regret buying?

    • Love it because of 1. will consume less fat/oil :) 2. no frying no burning, no making mess hence less time cleaning hehe :) 3. There is a timer on airfryer so your food will never get burnt without keeping eyes on it :) therefore it is a must have appliance in your kitchen :) hehee :)

I have an xl model. :)

    • I've had this model for a couple of weeks. here are some random points…
I think it cooks stuff pretty well given enough time.
uses less power than the oven.
That frozen to cook in 10min only works for smaller frozen foods, I found party pies take a bit longer.
followed the instructions, chips still a big soggy unless i'm reading it wrong…
cooked frozen battered prawns in it, they were HEAPS better than when i cooked them in the oven.

its a bit of a hit and miss but I would definitely buy again given the option.
