  • Yes it is a nice business grade desktop. CPU is about two year old but mated with solid construction from Lenovo and Windows XP Pro "upgrade" it will be a winner.

  • Not really a good deal actually. About 2 week ago, this laptop was sold at BigW for ~$500, but with a lower cpu (the cpu is upgradable btw)

  • Or you can get a similar laptop from dell for $749 - Dell Inspirion 1525

  • The key is — Lenovo 3000 N200 is a business class notebook and it is not competing with Inspiron, but competing with Vostro/Latitude. Having both a Latitude D630 and a Inspiron 1420 sitting on my desk, you can feel that they do belong to two different classes…

  • The laptop quality after the acquisition is not as good as before. I have been using more than 10 IBM/Lenovo laptops and recognise at least 2 components have been changed in term of quality are LCD and keyboard.

  • It doesn't have the Thinkpad name and so from what I've heard, it's not built to the quality standards of a Thinkpad, instead it's only to the same standards as a Dell..
