These new V8 Dysons are REALLY good. They have way more suction than the V6 which was only "just" good enough. And the new bin empty mechanism is excellent.
Another big benefit with the V8 is the sound level. They are much quieter than the V6 which is great given the increase in suction.
2.5 times the price though.

V8 Animal went down to $603.15 including postage ($9 cheaper if you can c&c) about 6 weeks ago via Bing Lee/eBay. I didn't realise how cheap it was at the time and didn't go ahead with snapping it up. I'll wait…impatiently…
