Cheapest Telstra deal to get the free AFL/NRL pass.

I am looking for the cheapest Telstra deal so I can watch AFL replays
I already have a crownbet account so I can watch a match live, however there will be occasions where I can't due to other commitments.

    I think if you just get a telstra $30 starter kit (which are currently on special for $10) that will give you the pass. they don't actually check if you continue recharging $30 per month.

      Cheers, can I confirm that $30 can't be converted to Google play credit in any shape or form?

      PS I'm new to Telstra prepaid and have read the ozbargain guide to c2m/simplicity but am completely confused

        Unfortunately you need to activate on Prepaid plus for the AFL live pass so you won't be able to get any Google Play credit or cm2u, that's correct

          What about activate on prepaid plus, then on 27th day change plan to simplicity and spend Google Play credit? That's what I do. Then on 28th day churn

          EDIT: I just read realfancyman's comments in the Telstra SIM deal saying this loophole has been closed last week. So not possible to switch plans and retain $30 credit anymore
