          servers are in texas usa, which explains the server issues really (bottle neck much)

    This ACCC complaint was posted on the Vogue forum regarding the GHD's:

    "DID YOU get a GHD on CatchOfTheDay.com.au/COTD? According to an email answering my enquiry, we will receive the NORMAL edition. DESPITE previous advertising of RARE and the description on the day of RARE edition with the RARE RRP ($319 vs $249) listed. It is obvious BAIT AND SWITCH advertising and thus, illegal. Email: [email protected] with COTD in subject if you got one."

    interesting - I ordered two iphone back up batteries from two different accounts - one I created just so that I could buy a second. The one to the new account was shipped today, my old account is still waiting. I wonder if they are prioritising getting the orders out to new accounts first and letting seasoned COTD users wait…?

      I used to be an avid COTD customer; however, the despatch & delivery times became shocking in the last 2-3 orders (~14 days for despatch + ~5 for actual delivery); so I've basically given up on them! :(

    I dont get it, why does everyone expect these sales to go any better than the last ?

    Every single one of these sales in the past have failed, the server crashes and the good stuff sells in seconds.

    And every time, every single time, its the same complaints, "crap server down" or "I bet they had only 1 in stock" etc etc etc.

    Give it up people!!! , COTD are just using you to spread word of mouth so at the next big sale there will be double the amount of you guys hoping to get through!

    I mean really think about it, this happens every time. Do you think COTD would be doing it if it wasn't a success for them ?

    I lost all respect for these guys at the last one of these when they advertised well over two weeks before hand all over the place including radio, newspapers and the internet knowing fully well they could never meet the demand for a $199 Ps3 or a $99 Wii.

    And they keep doing these sales cause they know they can hook you in and you keep getting hooked!

    These one day sales are like the pokies…..so next time turn your back on COTD and feel a whole lot better you didnt feed the COTD cycle of greed and disdain they show their customers on these pitful sale days.

      I totally agree. I am sure people are just pissed off because Zazzmania doesn't involve crashing servers. (I remember it being really popular a while ago).

      What confuses me the most is that I don't see a deal in all the items. I don't want PS3 SLIM, with no linux support and PS2 backwards compatibility. The Halo Reach and styler were barely a saving, and the shipping times are horrendous during these sales.

      I have actually seen the TV cheaper at Good Guys, so that definitely wasn't worth it.

      I'd expect at least 30% off the REAL prices I could buy them at, when you consider all the hassle.

        The servers were a joke but you can't deny that $200 for a ps3 slim was a great price. And Halo Reach was barely a saving? Wrong.

    hey guys, did anyone get the GHD for the hell of it because it was cheap? could you please sell it to me for a bit more? i tried so hard to get this for my gf, i even passed the paypal stage (which i thought meant the money's gone through already) and got to the shipping address confirmation page then it took me to "sold out" page T.T
    i'm broke as hell but i promised my gf i'll get this for her
