[VIC] Pancake Parlour Get Your Pancake for The Price of The Current Temperature (Eg 7°C = $7)

890

I don't know if the rest of you charming little members are aware of this or not, but the Pancake Parlour is having a repeat of last years deal

Basically, the price of the pancake = the current outside temperature. Right now that 7.1c, so the price would be $7.10. Pretty sweet, considering thats almost half the normal price. But tomorrow the weather is forecast to hit a low of 3c and stay there right up until 9am, so guys, potentially we are talking $3 pancakes :o

One time offer it appears, so make it count!

      Gotta love a QLD winter

      • We have the heater on at the moment. But I think it's 15 outside.

        • +1

Why would you have a heater in if it's 15 degrees outside?

        • @serpserpserp:
          Because that's cold.

        • @PVA: Not is you live in Vic/Tas.

    • Yeah but you get 22 degrees weather which everyone there can enjoy

    • Meh, I'm in QLD and it was 3 degrees when I got up this morning!

      • Yeah, I was at Ipswich on the weekend, bloody cold there.

  • +1

Weather is for the CBD so you gotta be careful because it can be higher than you expect.

      • according to bom.gov.au at checkout time —> as soon as you receive your order, go and pay (assuming an accomplice to guard your meal) then roll back and eat at a leisurely pace
    • weather taken from the olympic park station, so no need to be concerned friend

11 minutes to edit.. Mods are on fire tonight!

    • +4

They are trying to raise the price.

      • -1

Especially not anyone who visits ozbargain on the regular :P

      • That's actually pretty funny, took me a minute to get that. kudos

  • +2

You can usual get buy one get one free for a short stack either voucher from shop or shop docket. If you really feel like pancake. Just fyi

    • I can't imagine anyone paying full price!

      • +1

It only worth 1/4 of what they charge imo

  • 4 degrees in melb now bring it on!

  • -5

    Are these any good?
    And what's the normal price?

  • +1

    wait till its -1 again??

  • +1

-4 here on the south coast in the colder early mornings.

Time to get fat AF making some dough. (Pun intended. What you gonna do about it?)

    • +2

      I can't find the pun.

      • +2

        Same.

        • +1

Oh I think it was in reference to the use of the word "dough". Pancakes are from batter so that one went straight past me.

    • +4

You're gonna have to do batter than that.

      • +2

        No I donut.

        • Too bad the pancake price isn't based on the temp of these ice-cold puns

  • -4

Hmmyeah, so if the temp happens to hit MINUS 1C (-1 degree celsius), and I rock in and order 1000, not only will they have to 'hop to it' and make me 1000 pancakes, but they will also have to give me 1000 bucks?!?

    COOL!

  • -8

    Eg 7°C = $7

No deal. This is the stupidest promo ever. On their menu, 4 pancakes is $18, or $4.50 each. So now we can pay $7 each? Or more? STUPID!!! Jeez guys, they're a ripoff at $4.50!

  • +1

Why are there only ever offers in VIC and never ACT?

    • -1

I'd say the fact that it's just ticked over to 1°C in my backyard might have something to do with it.
They'd be better off just promoting a feeding the homeless event as the city has quite a few homeless people.

      • +1

Wasn't me that negged you but it's not just this promo - every pancake parlour promo always excludes ACT

  • 3.4 degrees right now… tempting, yet so cold outside..

  • Its a good morning when you get family pancakes for 21 bucks…saving $62…
    Oh cold melbourne….

  • +1

Bloody cold morning, if you pop in before work, should get breaky for less than a fiver.

  • GODDAMMIT! I was all ready to go when I remembered that I pulled the wheel off the car last night. You guys will have to enjoy those $3 pancakes a little more to make up for it, for your old buddy outlander

    • +1

Priorities man!! Pancakes > car safety

  • +1

    Was 0c here in Melbourne!

  • +2

Well this would be one of those rare times a business turns up the thermostat to make money…

  • Can we all unite, as OZBargainers, and refrain from farting until the deal is on?

    • Spontaneous combustion, mate. Ever heard of it?

      • That's a risk you take for a good bargain. Jokes aside, Spontaneous Combustion is not caused by internal body mechanism.

  • damn only melbourne says feels like -1.9 atm here

  • +2

This is so fake. I went and ate. According to bom it was 11.10 when u was about to pay but according to the pancake parlour website/lady it was $12.80. Just now I checked bom, it's 7.9 but pancake parlour is saying 10.30!!! I call bull!

    • true but still better than probably the regular price of $20.

  • +1

2C on friday morning…quite cold for camping out!

    • Melbourne Central should be a warm place to wait before 8am opening time.

  • not worth it at all. the taste of the chocolate pancakes are terrible

  • So far have got them for $3.60, $3.80, $4.80, $4.20. :D

  • Boy its cold!
Finally managed to snag this one for myself. Very pretty, but not worth it unless you have company to enjoy it with

  • Finally had one tonight @ $9.40. I use to be a regularly when the flavoured pancakes where $12.90 instead of $19.95. Use to visit once every 2 weeks. Can't remember last time I went to the pancake parlour must be well over 7 years now. I actually found the pancakes to be just so-so.. I swear they use to taste better before, was a little disappointed. Maybe Im getting older and taste buds are changing. Also I think the serving has been downsized since I last remembered. Im pretty sure I will only visit now just for my son.. Bill for 3 ppl was going to be $60 got it down to $28.20
