Saw this deal but not sure if it's the cheapest thing out there. After looking at all the old posts on OzBargain it looks like one of the cheapest sales at the $130 mark. Not sure if Amazon has any sign up/cashback/coupons, but feel free to check before you purchase if you are really considering it. I tried to check out from Amazon and it said free shipping.

Looks like there's a cashback reward.

You can get all four colours (green, red, black, and white) from Amazon. At JB Hifi they're selling it at $199 in black and white.

I got a price match at JB-HiFi and paid 140 for them. I also got the two year warranty on top of the one year, for $22. The rep was really nice and explained the warranty to me. They also told me to keep a digital copy of the receipt :) This was at the store upstairs in the Westfield on Pitt Street.

Here's a review on the product from The Sound Guys: Review

  • I got these on the last deal, save your money. The ear plug/rubbers don't fit anyone - I couldn't even give them away. Junk

    • I've got the X2 and the biggest tip I can give is to get Comply tips - search for them on amazon or I'm using knockoffs from eBay.

They create a much better seal than the silicon ones and also stay in your ears without falling out. I use mine without the wings without any issues even at the gym.

The best part is that you get a huge bass boost because of the isolation and just makes them sound way better.

Actually completely depends on your ears. I have small ears and these fit way better. However, the bluetooth is much worse (on the x3) and these can't be worn in the upside down, short method, as the skull now makes the connection unusable. on balance,I prefer the better ear fit for my little ears and I'm glad I 'upgraded'.

I love my X3, they fit very well.

Hi there! That's great to hear. Did you find the tips and wings they came with comfortable?

      • i bought two sets one for me one for a family member , their one hurts my ears because they use the smaller wings.
for me the wings make them feel very secure.

      • They come with different sizes of tips (silicone and foam, 3 sets each) and wings. It would be very unlikely that none of them fits your ears.

FYI complyfoam tips made for x2's still fit

    Cheapest I've seen them.

I was very happy with everything about these including fit for a time then recently the comply tips I was using started disintegrating. Not sure what to do about it if anything, presumably there's replacements.

Also white looks a lot nicer if you're a pasty Irish git.

  • $129 at DWI, no black though

  • How does everyone feel about the charging clip? Feels like it is easy to lose and you can't charge without it

it's seriously stupid. not a deal breaker, but fiddly and annoying

  • I wouldn't agree with the 'no questions asked' warranty policy at JB hifi. Well not my local store. I got a pair from there a little while ago and was getting terrible connections to my phone so took them back the next day and had a hell of a time to get a refund. Took me half an hour of arguing before i got a gift voucher then took a couple emails to head office to get my refund. Each store is different though i suppose.

  • Beware of the fakes that exist of these headphones. Fast battery drain, poor Bluetooth connection and poor sound quality.
I am now using Jabra sport coach headphones, and they've been great for me.

If you're worried about JBHIFi warranty I can attest to Jaybird's warranty system. I had a pair of X2 that died unexpectedly this past April. It was just under a year old from when I bought it on Amazon and Jaybird were kind enough to replace it with the Jaybird Freedom. Provided I go through their troubleshooting and showing proof of the device not working. The entire process took a little under 2 weeks.

    • +2

I second this, same process, also got a Freedom as a replacement.

Similar story, older version though. Replacement through Amazon/Jaybird pretty straight forward took 3 weeks IIRC (X1's).

JB HIFI however, stuffed around for ages with product barely a week old that was clearly faulty, wouldn't get a direct refund and only got stupid store credit that has made me salty against JB forever.

  • after shipping its about 145 for me in Melbourne

  • That cash back reward is for eBay…
