I stumbled upon this and figured for a tv of that size to be full hd for $949 is pretty good but looking at the catalogue for next month, there will be an online exclusive where the price drops even further to $888.
I haven't seen one of these in action so i can't make any comment about the quality but there is alwyas that 14 day satisfaction guarantee

A friend of mine has a Vivo 42" Plasma, and he's very happy with it. I paid just under $600 for it. That price makes me think that it's not Full HD.

Seen these around at DSE. Quality is hard to judge - they never have it hooked up through HDMI.
But damn that is cheap!
