    • From Sunbeam's website, it is RRP$49.95. From BigW, it is on sale. Now Bigw may want to get rid of it ($9 for the clearance).

  • Apologies for the inconvenience, but this item is out of stock online.
    :(

    • Works fine for me?

      • If I click add to cart, type in postcode (6103) says out of stock…?

        • Oh true, it works fine in Brisbane..

    • Pre-posting, I have checked it is still available from NSW/VIC/ACT/SA/QLD, but not available from WA.

  • plus $9 postage….

    So.. um… What is this?

    • it slowly warms you food. I bought one when they first launched, would bring in some frozen food and put it in and by lunch time it was piping hot…was ok then workplaces started frowning on all the appliances people were bringing in so I got rid of it

      • oh it plugs in? oh well another reson not to leave the desk, I might suggest the company buys this for the caged chooks err helpdesk, no need for them to have a lunch break. Now we just need to find an ergonomic commode chair for them.

  • im not getting the correct discount price.

  • Got 1 thanks for posting my hubby takes soup to work every day. And works in construction and doesn't always have a microwave. This is perfect for him.

  • Dammit missed out

  • It's showing unavailable online in Adelaide for me too. BigW, what a big mess!

    • Sold out so quick from SA. (Clearance stuff could be limited in stock.)

      • I must have been lucky and just got it in for SA.
Email confirms acknowledgement at 12:22pm, so I must have just got it.

This product seems like a solution when there was no actual problem??

Why would I put my lunch in here and have it take ages to heat, when I can just microwave for 2 minutes??

No wonder it's on clearance for $9, nobody wants it?? Just another appliance to clog up the cupboard.

    • Because you may not have access to a microwave, but have access to a wall outlet.

YASEA Yet Another Superfluous Electrial Appliance.

belongs right next to the pancake maker, egg cooker, pie maker, bain marie, etc

We use our pie maker :p

        • is that you Cartman? :p backatcha

Tend to agree. It says "After a couple of hours your food will be hot and ready to eat". Seriously, a couple of hours?
This is effectively just a slow cooker. Might be easier to bring a small electrical hotplate to work. Or eat sandwiches when you can't get to a Microwave. I also can't imagine many offices being pleased with people plugging in heating devices.

      • if only it was USB powered :-)

        • +1

Yeah, I was thinking that they should be able to have one by now which does not require mains power. Surely a 10,000mAh powerbank should cut it? :)
Maybe we finally found a use for Galaxy Note 7's?

  • sold out!

  • I think this is a price error guys. Plenty of stock in store but scanned to $29. Maybe it should be "Save $9".

Not sure about Big W website / in store price difference?

EDIT: From website.. (This doesn't seem to be 3rd party seller however)

Why is the online price for some products different to the in-store price?

Some of the products that are available for sale on bigw.com.au are brought to you by one of our carefully selected Third Party sellers. In those cases, the seller is responsible for not only shipping the order to you, but also setting the price of products offered for sale. On occasion this price might be different to the price of the same product in a BIG W store.

  • These are awesome esp if you bring leftovers to work. Switch it on at morning tea and by lunch you have a nice, evenly heated, hot meal. No need to fudge around with microwaving and stirring and waiting for the microwave and cleaning it out and eating cold middle bits and zzz.

  • In WA it's only the green ones that are $9, my local also had the blue but they were still $19.

    • which store?

      • Kwinana

  • My online order was canceled because they were out of stock. Went to my local hallett cove big w. There were heaps priced at $19 but scanned at $9. So save $10 on postage.

  • Please note : There are at least 9 of these at Bankstown Big W. I got 2 lime green ones.

  • How many Watts ?
